Q: 3. I just bought this, but it's not working with a 1280x800 resolution. Any advice?

Q: 4. has anyone powered this unit with USB power instead of plugging it into the wall? Does it need to be plugged into the wall?

A: Hi Mark. The unit requires a 5 volt DC source at 2 amps. Any power supply of 5 volts DC with at least a 2 amp rating will power the unit. So, if you have a USB power supply of 5 volts that can supply the amp rating it should work. Please be aware of the polarity of the power supply you are using. And no, I have not tried powering the unit from a USB port or power supply, but it is a good question.

Q: 5. Does this work with HDMI 24p input?

A: No, it needs a HDMI 30i signal.

Q: 6. Can I use this device to get stereo audio output from my Panasonic TV HDMI output? I have no other way to hook the audio from my TV to my stereo system. I've tried optical DACs that say they will work but they don't.

A: The HDMI jack on the TV is very likely an input, not an output. It is intended to connect FROM a cable box, DVD player etc. TO your TV and not the other way around. Your television probably has analog audio out jacks (red and white), an optical digital output and maybe a coax digital output (orange). Your owners manual will identify the input and output jacks and they should be labeled HDMI 1 in or audio out or similar wording. The red/white should almost certainly connect your TV to the amp or better, connect one of the cable box outputs to the amp.

Q: 7. Is it possible to adjust the brightness?

A: Yes, the brightness can be driven directly in the Prompter People 12" High Bright Monitor for 11 & 12" Teleprompters menu.

Q: 8. It is possible to adjust the brightness?

A: Yes, the brightness control can be driven via menu built into the system of the Prompter People 12" unit.

Q: 9. Will the mount for this prompter work with a Panasonic HPX370HD/Panasonic TM700 Plate on a Libec P110SD pedestal? I know it says it will work with most cameras up to ENG in the description, but our Panasonic cameras look quite a bit larger than the one in the photos and I want to be sure before making a purchase.

A: This prompter will accommodate a Panasonic HPX370HD.

Q: 10. Would this work with a projector I'm using it for Apple TV and cable box

A: If the projector has a composite video input, then I believe that it would.I used this device to connect an Apple TV to an older TV that does not have an HDMI input.

[1x USB-A] Used this on one of 4 outputs of an HDMI switch always having DHCP/ EDID problems into even more expensive composite converters. Tis inexpensive converter worked 1st time and every time since even with any combination of inputs and outputs selected on the 4X4 HDMI matrix switch.

[1x USB-A] I needed to connect Chromecast to my older HD television which lacks HDMI ports. This converter was the perfect solution. Plugged in the Chromecast and used a 3 RCA to 3 RCA cable to connect the video and audio outputs to a composite video input on the TV. Worked flawlessly right off the bat. The converter is powered by a separate supplied cable. In the US just be sure that the NTSC/PAL switch next to the output jacks is set to NTSC. This product was a lifesaver; I can now cast any web page, including videos of course, to my TV.

[Yes] I bought this to interface my laptop with and older TV, but I use it mainly to record movies from my satellite receiver (HDMI out). It gives me consistently good quality (within the limits of composite). The composite output of my receiver, by contrast, is prone to color fluctuations. Oh, and with the older TV, it performed equally well.

[1x USB-A] Hooked it up to my HDMI camera and connected the composite side to the projector as well as a video mixer. Worked for both devices the first time without any hassle. Thanks!
