This Canon EF to Nikon Z Adapter - Mitakon Zhongyi Turbo Mark IIfrom Canon EF to Nikon Z Adapter - Mitakon Zhongyi Turbo Mark IIallows Canon EF-mount lenses to be mounted on Nikon Z-mount cameras. Optimized for APS-C sensors, the adapter reduces the angle of view by 0.726x and the maximum aperture of the lens by 1 f-stop. Four optical elements condense light from a Canon EF-mount full-frame lens and project it onto the camera's APS-C sensor, allowing the sensor to capture all of the lens's transmitted light. This negates the 1.5x crop factor and effectively produces full-frame-equivalent coverage on non-full-frame sensors. A corresponding increase in the maximum aperture of 1 f-stop makes the lens more effective in low-light situations.

Optimized for APS-C sensor size cameras, this adapter allows you to mount a Canon EF-mount lens on a Nikon Z-mount camera. It is also compatible with Nikon Z-mount full-frame cameras; however, the camera will need to be set to crop mode.

For use with Nikon G-series F-mount lenses, an aperture control ring is built into the adapter, enabling you to adjust the aperture when using G-series lenses.

Reducing the focal length of the lens by 0.726x, the adapter increases the lens's maximum aperture by 1 stop.

Features four lens elements in three groups and includes one extra-low dispersion element.

Built to last, the Turbo Mark II offers sturdy metal construction and stainless steel mounts.

This is a manual adapter and offers no electronic communication between the lens and camera.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it work with Tamron 24-70 f2.8? And how to change the apature with this lens?

A: While the Mitakon Zhongyi Canon EF Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II may be used with the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD Lens for Canon Cameras. do note that the Turbo Adapter Mark II does not have an aperture control dial on the adapter ring. As such, you would be limited to using the lens with the aperture set wide open, as Canon EF mount lenses control aperture electronically and there is no mechanism to change the aperture when using this adapter.

Q: 2. Does this work on Blackmagic Cinema Camera 2.5K MFT?

A: Yes it will

Q: 3. I recently got this adapter for my GH4 and my Rokinon EF cine lenses. Im happy with the optics but the lens fit so tight in lens turbo. You have to apply a lot of pressure to twist the lens out after the pin is released. Im worried it may be scratching or grinding away the metal mount on my lens. Is this normal or is it possibly a defect with the specific lens turbo that I have?

A: I had the same problem, it gets easier the more you attach and remove lenses. The pin issue might be a good reason to return it, you probably got a bad spring

Q: 4. does it has aperture control or must be done manual?

A: You will need to set the aperture manually in-camera when using the Mitakon Canon EF Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II.

Q: 5. How much of a full-frame lens's image is CROPPED, when this adapter is used on micro 4/3 camera?

A: As compared to a full frame camera, the MFT sensor is a 2x crop. With this adapter, it lessens that x0.726. So the image is cropped about 1.2 as compared to full frame.

Q: 6. Does it work with BMPCC 4k?

A: Technically, no. It does not support iris control on the BMPCC 4K!

Q: 7. Ok so I am using this on my GH4 with my sigma 18-35 lens. How do I take it off???

A: To remove lens from adapter you press the button on the adapter and twist off appropriately. To remove the adapter from the body you press the button for removing lenses on your gh5 body and also twist appropriately.

Q: 8. Can this adapter use with FF Ultra Wide Leen? Such as Canon 14mm. 16-35mm .... I have Sony a6500. Thanks.

A: I bought the adapter to try to use on (non full frame) Pentax lenses in hope of using them with a full frame Sony A7R II. For this purpose the adapter did not work, giving a small circular photo's on the Sony.I have no experience of using the adapter with lenses for cameras with the same sensor size.

Q: 9. Will this support Image Stabilization with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II lens on a Sony A6300 or A6000?

A: No it does not. The adapter has no electronic contacts so it cannot supply power required for IS to operate.

Q: 10. Hello, ive been looking for an option instead of the Metabones speedbooster for my bmpcc,,WILL THIS WORK after i saw alot of bad reviews on about the adapter and the bmpcc,

A: Yes, this adapter will work on the BMPCC.

[Nikon Z] I am really impressed with this adapter. I had checked some sample footage on YouTube and some reviews here on BH and went on and gave it a try. I was only to use it occasionally on my Sony a6000 but I finally ended up leaving it on most of the time. The sharpness and build quality are great. I used it mostly for video and figured I should test it taking pictures and the pictures are also sharp. I am also planning on using this adapter on my B cam on some corporate shoots.

[0.64 lb] Easy to use, sharp as a tack. I bought this adaptor to work with my Sony Alpha 6000. It allow me to use F-Mount and AIS Mount Nikkor lenses at their intended focal length with the added bonus of an extra stop of light gathering ability. All the lenses (including a Tamron macro) fit nicely on the adaptor and take crystal clear shots. I strongly recommend this product.

[Nikon Z] The Mitakon adapter is a well constructed product. I have had a couple of months the test the adapter comparing it to a Canon T70 and a Sony A6000. The Canon lenses tested were as follows: 24mm F2.8, 50mm F3.5 Macro, 50mm F1.4, 55mm F1.2, 100mm F2.8, 200mm F2.8, and two Vivitar lenses, the 135mm F2.8, and 300mm F5.5. The focus at infinity was within a quarter of an inch before mechanical stop, except for the 50mm F1.4. It focused to infinity between the 10 and 15 foot marks on the distance scale. Light amplification; the only lens to gain a full F-stop was the 24mm F2.8, all others gained more than a half F-stop bur less then a full F-stop. Angle of View: All lenses lost between 1 and 3 degrees of angle of view, which was very good, nearly nullifying the 1.5 crop factor of the A6000. This adapter has revived all my old Canon FD mount manual focus lenses. The image quality is excellent, far less distortion then the Sony Kit lens and the CA with the old lens is gone, improving my post processing time. A good investment and I would recommend it to anyone with a collection of Canon lenses and a Sony A6000.

[Nikon Z] Works really well with my 3 old Nikon lenses, especially the 50mm, f/1.4, which has become my daily walk-around lens. I picked this adapter because it retains the lens' native focal length and +1 stop on aperture. Image results are sharp enough. Of course, you will have to focus manually, but you can still use Sony's A, P, and Superior Auto modes where the camera will do the rest. Note: this adapter doesn't have an aperture ring, so if your lens doesn't have it, you'll default to shooting at the widest aperture all the time. Overall, I'm really happy with this adapter.

[Nikon Z] I've been using this adapter with some old 70's era Nikkor manual lenses on a Sony a6500 body. Nikkor 35mm f1.4, 85mm f1.8 and 200mm f1.4. These are all non AI* lenses. Be aware this adapter is different than the competition in that it doesn't have an apature ring built in so you need to use manual Nikon lenses with their own focus and aperture controls. The combination of these great manual lenses , with the ability of the 6500 electric view finder with live view manual focus zoom in allows you to get great focused shots easily at wide open aperture. Great adapter to add cheap, fun, stylistic, high quality glass to my setup.

[0.64 lb] This device gives new life to all my old Canon FD lenses, making them work on my Sony E-mount camera. AND, not only do I get the full benefit of no-crop-factor focal length (which is to say that my 17mm lens is still a very wide angle instead effectively 26mm), I GAIN a full stop of additional light on the sensor, so it goes from being an f4 to an f2.8! Importantly, it does all this without giving up image quality. What's not to like?

[0.64 lb] I bought this adaptor to make my Sony Alpha 6000 a little more interesting. It is a little tricky to attach this to FD lenses, but once you get the hang of it the results are superb. I am using a 50mm f1.4 and a 15mm fisheye with the adaptor. The fisheye has a even exposure to the edges, something that surprised me. The 50mm is effectively working at f 1.0. I have no trouble focusing rapidly with focus peaking and the viewfinder is astounding to look through at night. I can see better through the camera than without it. Working shutter speeds and tack sharp images make this one of my favorite purchases to date. I also bought the Nikon F-mount version and am impresses with the optical properties of both adaptors.

[0.64 lb] This lens accessory is an amazing addition to any camera lens kit. I use it with old legacy lenses and it has turned my 50 1.8 into an oh my goodness killer camera lens combination. Well packaged and high quality build. You will not be dissapointed and it will give you an immediate edge without spending thousands on thta next lens.

[Nikon Z] Honestly, if I could afford the Metabones adapter I'd have gotten that one. This one for its price point is dead on. It's softer around the edges than the Metabones adapter but that doesn't bother me at all. It's not so soft that people will notice unless you tell them. So for the price and performance... A
