Q: 1. What is the process for printing film positives using the Epson SureColor T3770E? Accurip Emerald compatible?

A: According to Accurip their Emerald software is not compatible with the T3770E printer.

Q: 2. What is the process for printing film positives using Epson T3770e? List of compatible RIPs?

A: The Epson SureColor T3770E Large Format CAD/Technical Printer can be used for screen positives by printing on transparency film. The Go Colormate RIP is listed as compatible with Epson T series printers.

Q: 3. Will this printer print on canvas?

A: This printer should have no issues printing on canvas, but as ts mainly used for line art and blue prints you might not see the best results.

Q: 4. Will this print dense enough on clear film for shooting silk screens? What is the droplet weight for just black prints on film? Thank you, Tom.

A: This would be heavily dependent on the level of adhesion of the top layers of the clear film. As for the droplet weight it would be 4 picoliters; Variable Droplet Technology can produce up to three different sizes per line.

Q: 5. Can this work with a 3" roll core?

A: The Epson Surecolor T2170 24" Wireless Inkjet Printer can only be used with 2 inch core rolls. However, the T3475 would be a similar printer which can use both 2 and 3 inch core rolls. Please take a look at the following link: https://bhpho.to/3RaYKJt

Q: 6. Whats the core diameter for the roll media that i would need to buy?

A: The Epson SureColor T3770E can use both 2 and 3 inch core papers as long as the starting outer diameter is 6.67 inches or smaller.

Q: 7. Can I use 240V directly for the printer?

A: The Epson SureColor T3170x Printer has an AC Input Power of 110 to 240 VAC, 50 / 60 Hz, all you need is a small plus adapter. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=watson%20plug%20adapter&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma

Q: 8. How would this be with photos? On matte, luster or canvas

A: This is more of a line art printer as prints such as blueprints. But it can still print a nice quality photo, the quality would not be as good as a printer with a higher amount of ink cartridges. This can print on different types of paper as long as they adhere to the following specs Media Sizes Input Tray 1: 8.27 x 11 to 11 x 17" / 21.01 x 27.94 to 27.94 x 43.18 cm

Q: 9. Can this printer be converted for sublimation?

A: The Epson SureColor T3170x 24" Desktop Printer is not designed to e used for sublimation and damage caused by use of any inks other than manufacturer recommended can potentially void the warranty. That being said, as this is a tank printer, it is easier to convert via aftermarket products that are available.

Q: 10. What is the difference between T3170x24 and the basic model T3170?

A: The difference between the Epson SureColor T3170x 24" Desktop Printer and the Epson Surecolor T3170 is ink bottles vs cartridges.

[44.3"] IuUpgraded to this from an old HP DesignJet 130. I've always been annoyed with HP's business practices and support, so went with Epson and haven't been disappointed. It's fast, quiet, well-built, and well-priced. And vastly more up-to-date tech than the old DesignJet.

[264 lb] After being frustrated by the local print shops refusing to print on my own 24 paper, I managed to negotiate this new printer with my wife. My old Epson R2400 is getting a little worn out and only prints 13 wide. My project required a 24x30 print.
Reading reviews and articles about this and other wide format printers, the only adverse comment I saw for the T2170 were complaints about feeding paper.
With plenty of experience arguing with recalcitrant printers, I took the plunge and purchased this one. Surprise with the size and weight of the new printer had me a little worried if it would fit in my computer room. This is a BIG printer, nearly 3' wide and 1 1/2' deep, I couldn't put it where I had originally planned (I should have bought the stand too.)
After rearranging things and finishing setup, I tried my first print. I had no problems feeding roll paper, and very little with cut sheets. The printer is very fussy about skew when loading, but if you carefully follow the guides, it goes in cleanly, even with an unevenly cut leading edge. The automatic cutter took care of that on the first print.
Prints were excellent and well worth the price. It is much more convenient to feed cut sheets from the back rather than the front of the printer, so be sure to leave some room, or put it on a moveable stand of some kind.
I consider this printer well worth the price for someone who needs the width. I can't wait to try a really big panoramic print!

[3.5 pL] Aside from the hassles with the shipping company... This is a great printer... and the 24 inch roll and set up works perfect .. right out of the box...

[44.3"] So far I'm very happy with this printer. While it's a little louder than I expected (maybe just slightly louder than an HP DesignJet?) the prints are great and crisp. I use it mainly for drafting, but occasionally print color images as well. I appreciate the larger ink cartridge sizes and lower cost from Epson over HP.

[Inkjet] This printer can print cut sheets of any size. So far I have printed out plans for a garage using 16.5 x 23.75 cut sheets. Custom settings allows me to practically use and cut sheet 24 or less in width. The 24 roll ordered will not be used until all my cut sheets are used up. The 8.5 x 11 sheet holder is used for maintenance testing the printer head if the printer hasn't been used for a while prior to printing on larger paper formats. It took me many tries to align cut sheets straight enough not to produce errors before printing. I believe I've gotten the hang of it but not yet to mastered it. Very pleased with this printer.

[57 x 41 x 28"] I just got this today to replace my 14 year old designjet90 . My use is mostly black line CAD drawings. I was blown away by how much faster and sharper the drawings come out. About 15 seconds to print an 18 x 24 drawing with lots of lines and detail, and that is on normal setting not high quality. Would have taken 5 minutes on my old designjet. I've never used roll paper before but it was no problem to load and the alignment is spot on.

[44.3"] This is my first large-format printer so I was looking for something that could make good full-color prints that wasn't crazy expensive. I was a little hesitant to go with a printer with only 4 colors since my other Epson printer is 6 but I printed a few movie posters to test things out and they looked great! One thing to note: the 100' Magic Siena paper I ordered with the printer is too heavy out of the box so I had to remove enough paper for the roll to be flush with the top edge of the paper stops. Then everything worked perfectly.
