The black C5212-96 Acustica Series 500W Passive Speaker from RCF is a full-range versatile two-way loudspeaker offering substantial power and efficiency for several professional applications. It can be used as a main unit in permanent installations, or as a supplementary fill in large speaker systems.

The Constant Matching Design technology helps guarantee an optimal transition between the high-frequency horn polar pattern and the low-frequency woofer directivity. The hi-frequency transducer is a 1.4” RCF precision compression driver with a 2.5” voice coil. The low-frequency transducer is a 12” RCF precision woofer with a 3” voice coil.

The speaker also includes a high-level crossover network that features low induction values in series with the woofer. This innovation, named LICC (Low Impedance Compensated Crossover), delays reduction, reduces phase shift, and lends superior transient response.

Dynamic high-frequency driver protection is accomplished with the RCF AMCDP (Active MOSFET Compression Driver Protection System), which is chosen to complement the driver power curve. The internal crossover can be easily bypassed for bi-amplification.

The cabinet is made of Baltic birch (heavy duty painted) and allows different installation options. It comes equipped with top and bottom multiplates for either wall or suspended mounting with chains. The installation points are available on its rear panel as well. The steel front grille is protected with a double layer polyurethane fabric and the front RCF logo is easily rotatable. Connections are made through 2 Neutrik SpeakON NL4 connectors (audio input and parallel link output).

Q: 1. Are there mounting brackets?

A: No there are no mounting brackets. These speakers were intended to be pole mounted.

Q: 2. Can I connect a separate tweeter system to this speaker such as the Pyle Pro PAHT7 6-Way DJ Tweeter System?

A: A separate tweeter system cannot be connected to this P.A.speaker. The end-user does not have access to its crossover network.

Q: 3. Are these weatherproof for outdoor installations?

A: The Ashly AW 8.2T+ Passive 8" 2-Way Installation Speaker with Transformer is not weatherized or waterproof.

Q: 4. Is there an aux input that would connect to my MP3 Player?

A: Unfortunately there is not. These are passive speakers so they would be useless to you for an MP3. You will need powered monitors with a 3.5mm input for MP3.

Q: 5. Hk audio Linear5 -112 F is fit for idol pro IP-300 digital amplifier

A: Yes, the HK AUDIO LINEAR 5 112 F Passive Two-Way 12" 1000W Professional Loudspeaker can be powered by the IDOlpro IP-300 Digital Amplifier.

Q: 6. Is there an aux input?

A: There is no Aux input on these speakers. They are also passive so there is no power as well.

A: A pair of the JBL PRX412M Two-Way 12" Passive Speakers can be used with the IDOlpro IP-300 Digital Amplifier. The amp has banana connectors and the speakers have combo jacks that accept Speakon NL-2 or 1/4" connectors.

Q: 8. I'm not familiar pass through. If I have an amp sending 600w out the channel, and then two speakers are connected, will the power be halved? Or will each speaker see 600w?

A: If your amplifier is a stereo amp (two channels), at 600 watts per channel at 8 ohms, then it will be appropriate for two of these speakers. A single-channel amplifier would have to put out 1200 watts at 4 ohms in order to power two of these speakers. Please call our Pro Audio Department at 800.606.6969 to better assist you.

Q: 9. Can you plug it in in a Hercules 4mx

A: Yes - via the speakers 1/4 mono input. Hercules offers 4x mono connectors in '' jack format, to connect to a public address amplifier or speakers. Keep in mind that this speaker needs an amplifier to power it.

Q: 10. Does it come with two speakers or one

A: This is a single speaker cabinet.

[2 x SpeakON NL4] Case is well made and cradles speakers nicely. Casters roll very smooth, locking hardware is strong, and the outer texture on the laminate is nice. I used custom covers for a while but this case is so much better. If you own these speakers, make the investment, and get this case. 5

[1 W, 1 m: 98 dB] The Velvet Sledgehammer. Crossover point to the mid-horn is 320 Hz, and xover to the high horn is 1200 Hz. That means your top 6 octaves are now behind a waveguide. The result? You can actually hear more at the back of the audience, and not just because the box itself is louder. Audience members were approaching me about how much better the concert sounded this week than last week, and they were actually right for once. With the RCF NX 985-A we have unlocked Easy Mode for our outdoor concert series. The padded covers are highly recommended and an excellent value themselves. 5

[1.2 kHz] After years of using Mackie, QSC and EV speakers, I finally found a speaker that produces high quality, neutral sound with this RCF! These get very loud without any case resonance (an issue I've had with some plastic case models) 5

[Factor (Q): 13] At home stereo set up, wanted to try new tech, noticed local rental joints are exclusively QSC (no passive speakers though). Ordered smallest QSC speakers - I liked their look for home and their 85 degree pattern; with the idea to return them if I don't like the sound . I employ them with a 200W Mackie amp and SVS-SB3000 sub, through a DDRC-24 Dirac Live room corrector. The result is very pleasing, and the Tannoys are now retired. There is more clarity in the sound and I can push more (a lot of) power into the system with the clarity still remaining there. I don't have to sit on the sofa to enjoy the sound, so 85 degree pattern is working well. Note they are not flat, they require EQ/DSP corrector. 5
