[3.34 lb] I originally wanted to go with a 10gbe solution on my MBP 16 to my new Synology 1621+ nas with direct connection to the nas. I setup the nas with a raid 10 and am now getting 700 mbs read and 1k mbs write. Alot faster than a usb 3 external drive which was around 100mbs r/w. I'm now pretty happy and can edit photos from the external a lot faster. The device itself does get fairly hot but its protected by the rubber cover so it won't really do any damage to any surface its on. Also make sure to enable jumbo frames on your network card and the nas side as well and you should be good to go. 5
