The MIO EMB-HDSDI SDI Stereo Analog Audio Embedder form Gra-Vue is designed to embed an analog audio stereo signal into a single SDI input signal and output 2 identical SDI signals with the embedded audio. There is also a loop SDI output that outputs the original SDI signal without the additional embedded audio channels. It supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI for both input and outputs. Also, digital signals with embedded or non-embedded audio can be used as input signals.

The MIO EMB-HDSDI supplies a real-time input signal status indicator and a power indicator which makes it more convenient to monitor. Additionally, the embedded audio channel can be selected with a DIP Switch.

A: No, the Datavideo DAC-91 2-Channel SDI Analog Audio Embedder can only see progressive signal video.

A: I'm afraid this does not support 1600x1200 at 25p. It does support 720p at 50/60 along with 1080p at 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60.

[7.5 x 4.5 x 3"] Since I got my recent computer in 2013, I've been trying to get an output to my TV using the normal composite output, which the video card sadly doesn't have. (Although S-Video is an option for my TV as well, it sometimes doesn't detect it properly.) After having tried 3 other VGA to composite scan converters, I thought I would try this Gefen scaler and use the HDMI output on my video card. And it seems I made the right choice at last! While the previous scan converters suffered with a somewhat stuttery PAL output, the Gefen scaler isn't really all that bad at it. It is a little bit stuttery here and there, but nothing to get in a fuss about. When I watched a TV show using it, it wasn't noticeable at all. The image quality is pretty fine, and like it promised, it gives you a choice of resolutions. You'd probably want to stick to about 1024 768 pixels to read stuff from your computer, or otherwise it gets too tiny for your television. I tried both the S-Video and composite outputs, and they were both very good. I also tried it with my XBOX 360, and it worked fine with that too. The underscan setting is just right for my TV, if you want to get the whole image on your screen without anything cropped. It was nice to see that the power supply works from 100 to 240 V, and it also came with a set of Australian style pins, which I was happy to use! (It also had USA, British and possibly European ones too.) The metal case seems rugged and the screw in style HDMI plug is a good idea to keep it from being pulled out. All in all, it seems very well made, and it looks pretty nice as well. 5

[7.5 x 4.5 x 3"] I've not had any issues with this product - it does its job well with no fuss. It's also very well made, including the connectors. I was unsure if it would totally strip the audio from the SDI feed (so that there was no audio on the looped output) but this is not the case. The output is 'untouched' and includes audio. 5

[0.95 lb] Purchased this to add a wireless 3.5mm mic to a PTZ camera that outputs video through HDMI. The camera has a 3.5mm audio in, but sounded like garbage. This fixed that. If anyone is wondering: I did PTZ HDMI to the KanexPro, Wireless mic to the 3.5mm Line In, HDMI from the KanexPro to a deck recorder. This embeds the audio to HMDI without any lip-sync issues that I've noticed. Sounds decent for the price. Will be running this on a 24/7 PTZ camera. Hopefully it holds up. 5
