[1-Year ] I'm stoked about the Autel EVO. I'm a documentary filmmaker, and just got back from a shoot in Costa Rica. The EVO worked great and performed reliably in all kinds of conditions. It packs down into a DSLR-sized camera bag, which means you can take it anywhere. The ability to control and fly the EVO without an attached mobile device and app is a huge plus. Most importantly, the footage looks great. I used to fly a DJI Phantom 3 Pro, which was extremely finicky and unreliable. I highly recommend Autel over DJI.

Never had a problem with delivery's. The web site is set up in a way to get around and look for stuff I really don't need But Want, lol. thank you

[1-Year ] This was a huge buy. The drone is a great replacement for DJI and the staff was great help.

[1-Year ] Delivery and tracking over B&H was perfect, as usual. The problem is - QUALITY of the product - AUTEL Controller for Evo Lite. IT is not connecting to the drone. I followed all recommended by AUTEL ROBOTICS methods how to pair your drone and NEW controller and NOTHING is working. It is the second controller that not working as it needs to be, as declared by AUTEL company. The first one , I bought from AUTEL recommended company directly, was paired, but cannot pass the test on joysticks calibration. And AUTEL service recommended me to buy a new one -controller if I am not satisfied. Drone if flying, but AUTEL recommended that to trust the drone in fly I better run joysticks test. And it don't. I will try one more time - over product exchange, to see if it worth a time and how good AUTEL Lite drone flying complex is is it better then DJI or they still need to learn a lot from competitor. The reason is - I had similar situation with DJI mini earliest release - controller failed to connect with drone after couple of years. I ordered new one over AMAZON and it paired as it needs to be - no questions or issues. I still hope that AUTEL getting better and better, but so far my experience only negative with AUTEL products and service.

[Additional] I was torn between mini 3 pro and mini 2. Mini 3 pro is over my budget and mini 2 is not good enough for me. And then I find out this Autel nano plus. The sensor is actually pretty much equal to the quality of mini 3 pro. And the HDR is my favourite setting. I turn it on all the time and it boost dybamic range quite a bit. You do not need to shoot Log now. It is easier to grade this way. Obstacle avoidance is a must to me. It is ironic that beginner drone does not have this feature but beginner is the one that need this feature badly. It is really sensitive. Cool thing is that you can turn it on and off in the app at any point. Great drone if you want a drone between mini 2 and mini 3 pro.

[Yes] I debated for weeks between the EVO and several DJI Mavic models. I am so glad I chose the EVO! The camera is better at 4K/60fps; the software is better designed and the quad is NOT geo-fenced; the quad is extremely stable (GPS hold is amazing); the remote is configured better and has a full-color LCD screen on which you can optionally display the camera's view (you can actually fly without a smartphone if need be); and it's hundreds of dollars less expensive than the Mavics. And the current deal from BH, bundled with an extra battery, multi-charger, and carrying bag, sweeten the deal even further. The Autel EVO is the right choice!

[Additional] I did a lot of research, then bought from the Autel EVO from B&H. So far love the system, camera is amazing, windy conditions not a problem. Autel has provided great service when I have called and emailed, which was a major reason I bought the EVO. Only issue I have is the 4K 60FPS is hard to watch on my PC. I bought the kit with extra batteries and the carry case. I am super careful of the antennae and I love my orange landing pad. Could not be happier with B&H and Autel and my EVO. Recently experimented with Precision Mode which helps with filming. Wish the hand held monitor reminded me to take the gimble cover off as a few times I turned on the EVO and forgot to take it off. Autel videos are helpful.

[Additional] Was about to go DJI and deal with the Geofencing but it was suggested to me by another pilot that I rake a look at the Autel Evo. As an aside I do own an Autel code reader (OBD 2-3) and it works flawless but I wasn't very familiar with the EVO. Glad I looked at the specs and performance reviews because I purchased one from B&H. They were on backorder and I did wait over a month for it but it was every bit worth the wait for a pro-sumer drone with no Geofencing. I prefer to not have the 'big brother' watching over me constantly and not allowing me to fly because of supposedly restricted air space.


I believe in following FAA regs and I do but not having the built in (and memory intensive Geofencing is fine with me.


The EVO is very easy to fly, is very quiet for a drone of this size and flight time for me, while not at the touted 30 minutes, is close at 25 minutes.


I bought the 'Rugged Bundle' which comes with an airline transport grade case and all the compartments inside are laser cut for secure fit of the drone, controller, extra batteries, props and even a compartment in the bottom for my tablet.


The drone itself is very well made and should last for many hours of flight time plus Autel is very customer friendly to deal with should an issue arise. They are there 24/7 to answer questions unlike DJI.


I'm very impressed with the drone overall. \\I will use it primarily for recreation but I will also shoot documentaries, consequently, I have to hold a professional license.
