This proprietary algorithm optimizes the thermal images from the sensor in a three-stage process for a detailed and high-contrast image, even when a cold sky threatens to darken the view. You no longer need to aim low, and you can keep game in the center of the frame.

The newly designed scroll wheel allows both left- and right-handed users to select zoom levels or menu items quickly and precisely, even in stressful hunting situations or while wearing gloves. An extendable eyepiece allows comfortable use with or without eyeglasses.

The battery allows 6.5 hours of continuous observation and is easily replaceable. It can also be recharged using a standard power bank and thus ensures you never runs out of power. The standby mode is activated contactless—if the DTI 6 is put down or picked up, it switches itself off or on.

Personal settings can be saved in up to four observation profiles so you are equipped for any situation. Select your preferred zoom speed, adjust the duration of the stand-by timer, configure the LED, and create your own color palettes, the DTI 6 can be customized to suit your preferences and specific needs. Preset Fog, Universal, Discover, and Identify observation modes help tailor the view to the respective hunting situation.

The DTI 6 is fully integrated into the ZEISS Hunting app and can reliably connect to your smartphone. Data is transferred between the DTI 6 and the app via energy-efficient Bluetooth technology, but switches to Wi-Fi automatically when processing large amounts of data. The ZEISS Hunting app allows you to customize and configure the DTI 6 according to your individual needs and requirements.

A: The Think Tank Photo Digital Holster 40 V2.0 will support the Nikon Z8 Mirrorless Camera (B&H # NIZ8) with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Lens (B&H # NIZ247028) attached.

Q: 2. What's the payload?

A: The following unit features a 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole on the bottom of the tray allows it to be mounted to tripods or other supports with a 3/8"-16 stud.

Q: 4. Does the mount allow you to tilt the tray at all?

A: The 5/8" light stand adapter included with the Matthews Digital Imaging Technician Tray Kit does not allow the tray to tilt; however, the tray has a 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole that can be used to mount the tray to a tripod or stand that will allow the tray to tilt.

[12 µm] I bought this device for birding, specifically looking for owls at night. Some of the top thermal scopes cost upwards of $4k. The problem is, they are clearly marked as Export Controlled. I don't want to get into any trouble with those. This little plug-in camera cost only $400. So I decided to give it a try. I brought it to Guatemala a few days ago, hooked up with an old Pixel 3A phone, it worked great, far better than I expected. I found an owl at night perched silently behind our cabin on my second night there. I could see the red-hot owl based on the body shape. Even smaller birds can show up as hotspots at night. Definitely worth the $$$.

[50 Hz] Easy set up. Worked right off the bat and saw birds in the trees, deer many yards away, and lots of mice in the field. Fun to use.

[40 mm, f/1.0] Best money I have spent in years. As great as my Zeiss 10x42 binoculars. Unbelievable what all you can see with these. Spot a coon at 1,000 yards. Looks thru woods to spot game. A great piece of equipment and fabulous technology. B & H got them to me quickly.

[Rechargeable] This scope far exceeded my expectations. Tremendous value. Scope is equal to or perhaps exceeds the clarity of scopes costing three times as much.

[Rechargeable] I was blown away by the image quality of this unit. I’ve used 320 and 640 handheld units before as well as the top of the lineup Seek phone camera. The processing on the T2 is phenominal. The relatively large front lens is a huge plus too. The image from this rivals the better 320 cores I’ve used. The resolution isn’t as good, but for distance viewing what’s more important is handling noise. The Seek cannot handle noise at all. It turns to a blurry mess shortly even though it’s higher resolution. Even some of the standalone 320 units don’t process noise out as well, making the final picture harder to see.

The T2 processing cuts out the noise while keeping detail. The plain white hot/black hot modes do great to show detail in settings like neighborhoods while the highlight contrast mode makes animals/people stick out from the background significantly. Very helpful when trying to see if the warm thing is something the sun heated a bit or something living.

The phone holder fit both the camera and phone snugly without cranking down on the adjustments. The handle makes viewing much more stable than without, though it’s not required. Still, the stability matched to the zoom of the lens makes the handle a huge plus.

If you’re interested in trying thermal or have a use where having your phone out isn’t a problem, the T2 is the perfect low cost, high value unit. Others may be better for circuit board work or other niches, but for general outdoor activities the T2 Pro is the best bargain going.
