A: As with all Nikon F-mount lenses that have an aperture ring built into the lens, you must lock the aperture ring on the lens to its smallest setting (in this case, f/22), for the lens to be used on your camera. On the Nikon D7000 DSLR camera, you control the aperture via the control dial on the camera body, not via the aperture ring on the lens.
