The Logi Options+ software lets you manage and customize your supported mice and keyboards through an easy-to-use interface. Reassign your device's buttons and keys to perform your common and repetitive tasks, so you can save time and get more done. Flow technology allows you to seamlessly control multiple computers and transfer text, images, and files between computers by copying on one and pasting to the other. You can also use the software to see your battery level, get notifications if Caps Lock is on, and check which computers are paired with your devices.

The backlit keys help to conserve battery by only lighting up as your hands approach. Use the Logi Options+ software or press the Fn and bulb keys at the same time to customize lighting effects. Presets include breathing, highlighting modifier keys, a progressive wave across the keyboard, random key lighting, or having each key illuminate as you press them.

The Logitech MX Mechanical Wireless Keyboard has an integrated battery that is rated to last up to 15 days or up to 10 months with the backlighting off before needing to be recharged through the USB Type-C port.

The Logi Bolt receiver plugs into an available USB 2.0 Type-A port to provide secure and reliable connections with compatible devices in increasingly congested wireless environments. Based on Bluetooth Low Energy technology, Logi Bolt includes multiple security measures such as encrypted connections with compatible devices, and is designed to minimize vulnerability risks in both office and work-from-home environments. The receiver is designed to work with multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, and Linux. Up to six devices may be paired with a single receiver through the Logi Options+ software.

The plastic parts in MX Mechanical keyboard include 45% certified post-consumer recycled plastic. It is also certified carbon neutral.

[18 x 6.8 x 2"] I like the mice. The additional sensor resolution allows for more smooth movement.

You need to work on your Options+ software though. I use the MX Anywhere 3S for Business with a MX Keys keyboard utilizing Flow, across three PCs in my office; two desktops and one laptop (all i9) and it occasionally loses its mind, refusing to flow to the leftmost computer.

Also, I stopped in a major computer retailer last weekend to help a friend buy a laptop. I told the sales reps (yes multiple) I wanted a MX 3S for business mouse. They swore to me that they did not exist.

I told them, 'That's strange, as I own three of them' and they still wanted to argue with me.

They almost lost the entire sale.

[18 x 6.8 x 2"] I've been wanting to move towards a mechanical keyboard feel. Glad that MX is offering an option now. So far, I've really enjoyed the typing experience, though it is taking some getting used to since I've been on scissor switches for quite a while. I don't love how they switched to a new dongle system with this one so I can't use the MX master 3 mouse with the same dongle anymore - I know they did that to force another upgrade. Other complaint is that their software seems to have regressed in the new mechanical keyboards. example - the calculator quick key still works but it doesn't bring it to the front anymore. Why would that be different from their previous keyboards? weird. Overall, I'm enjoying the keyboard, though.

[2.48 lb] For years, I used the little flat and hard to type on Apple keyboards. Such minimalism. This Logitech MX keyboard takes me back to the era when keys depressed a bit and gave a satisfying click, just like this one does. And there are surprising features such as lit keys which activate with just your hand hovering before hitting a key. It sets up very fast and trust me, I can type circles around my former self. Congrats Logitech, you hit this one out of the park!

[Mechanical] Pros:

1. Just the right amount of clicky feedback.
2. Switches resist enough to not cause numb finger tips - I type pretty aggressively.
3. Great battery life so far.
4. I like the little info-graphics the software throws up on screen (caps lock etc).

Cons (minor):
1. A little too small for my unusual setup (keyboard in lap from recliner).
2. Pricey.

Overall:

Hands down the best wireless keyboard experience I've ever had. I would give it 4.5 stars for minor complaints but since I can't give half stars it rounds up to 5.

[Mechanical] I'm loving this keyboard. The only thing that took me a second to get used to was there's no dedicate print screen key. I rely on that button every day. But a quick google search revealed it's a function key and using Logitech options you can switch it to Screen Capture which emulates the print screen key.

[Yes, White] I've been using clicky mechanical keyboards with my desktop computers for years. I love the build quality, the key travel and that satisfying sound. My only issue's been the thickness because my keyboard tray isn't deep enough to accommodate a palm rest. That meant an uncomfortable wrist angle. This Logi low profile solves that easily. For my purposes, this keyboard does everything I need, want and like. And it does it beautifully.

Regarding comments about a slow backlighting sensor, the keys on my unit light up as my hands approach and it seems to be on a par with Logi's MX Keys which I've also used and I did not find it objectionable. As for backlighting going off too quickly, I don't have a problem with that either. It probably helps battery life, which is outstanding.

I'm using this new keyboard, via Bluetooth, with one of Apple's new iMacs with the silicon chip and the Bluetooth connection is solid. The Bluetooth settings do show the percentage of the battery charge. If you need to boot from safe mode where Bluetooth doesn't work, just pair the keyboard to the included Logi Bolt USB receiver.

The only suggestion I would make to Logitech would be to consider using PBT keycaps since they are virtually immune to fingertip oils and smudges, although a microfiber cloth will work on the existing keycaps.
