This Commlite EF/EF-S to M4/3 Lens Adapter for Camerasfrom Commlite EF/EF-S to M4/3 Lens Adapter for Camerasallows a Canon EF or EF-S-mount lens to be used on any camera with a Micro Four Thirds mount. Gold-plated contact pins provide electronic communication between an attached camera and lens, enabling autofocus as well as auto exposure features, and image stabilization functions are also supported. If an attached lens is capable of generating Exif metadata, this adapter is designed to transfer that information so that it can be saved with image files generated by the combined Canon EF or EF-S-mount lens and MFT-mount camera.

Constructed from aluminum alloy, this adapter is durable while remaining lightweight. To help reduce stress on the camera mount when placed on a tripod, the adapter includes a tripod foot with 1/4"-20 threads. Additionally, a built-in USB port enables firmware updates for compatibility upgrades and new functions.

A: The reason you're only getting cropped sensor coverage is because that lens is only for cropped/ APS-C sensor cameras not for full frame, so the adapter you use isn't relevant.

A: The Commlite EF/EF-S to RF mount adapter does not come with a clear-insert filter, and unfortunately it seems we do not carry one that might be purchased separately. We also attempted to slot the Canon OEM clear filter (as well as their CPL and ND filter holders) and they did not fit.

[1/4"-20 Female] I absolutely love this adapter! So maybe it has weaknesses... -Not as sharp with adapter compared to original lens -Limited compatibility is exactly that! LIMITED -Infinity focus is questionable... But here's why I love it! -1 stop can be the difference in getting a usable shot -I would say it feels sturdy + not heavy -love the tripod mount (sigma mc-11 seems to have missed) -I love the: low contrast, lens flaring imperfections it adds to the images! I mostly use it with an a6500 and canon 50mm 1.8ii. Auto focus doesn't even work but its soo awesome! Tested it with sigmas 18-35 and 50-100 1.8. These are both aps-c lenses so there's a dark circle around the edges (the 18-35 is usable at 35mm). The 18-35 crashes every time I try to take a pic...but it works fine in video. The 50-100 is the only lens I got to auto focus at all and it hits every time! Controlling aperture seems to be flawless on all the lenses I tested so that's great! On the camera it will display your aperture with an extra stop ie. 1.8 becomes 1.3. And 50mm will be shown as 35mm in lightroom. 5

[0.47 lb] I did a lot of research as to what I should get adapter/lens wise for my R5c. This adapter turned out to be the perfect one! I can use great existing EF cinema lenses with my R5c, while also making up for the fact that the R5c has no internal ND with the drop in VND included with the adapter. I also love the PL mount style locking ring (I've never seen one like this in EF before!!), as it makes it quick and easy to swap lenses, and it ensures an absolutely solid connection. It can take some getting used to, particularly for those used to photography style mounts. But it's definitely a solidly built, high quality and very functional adapter. The VND filter apparently has better performance than the one in the Canon ef-rf filter adapter. And you can get a ton of third party options for more drop in filters! 5

[6 x 4.8 x 2.3"] I own a Sigma 150mm~600mm telephoto lens with a Canon EF mount and a Fuji X-S10 camera. The EXIF shows a max of 420mm when set to 600 (420 x 1.5 crop = 630mm) the view is much brighter and the IBIS as well as the lens image stabilization work well and the auto focus was quick to react to change of scenes, in short, the EF mount Sigma behaved like a Fuji lens in all regards. The 150mm showed 109mm on EXIF (109 x 1.5 crop = 163.5). 5

[Aluminum] Just received the Vello lens adapter and mounted a Canon�EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens to a Sony A6300.� As a semi-professional Canon photographer, I am really impressed with the quality and clarity of the initial pictures.� Focusing was quick and accurate.� Next camera to test it on is my Hasselblad� Lunar. [Yes] I brought this adapter to use it only my Sony A6500, mounted sigma 18-35mm(vignetting seen at 18mm, but starting at 24mm it doesn't appear) - Please note that AF doesn't work on this lens as it's not compatible, but you can control the aperture settings from the camera. Works perfectly fine with other lenses which were tested ex: EF 50mm f1.8 just works perfectly fine. This adapter is worth the money as it boosts out the performance from a cheap lens to a high end lens. AF will not be great in movie/video recordings but for Photos it's fine not great, but for the price point it provides almost all of the things with that EXTRA stop of light. I'm in love with this adapter. Will recommend this to friends. 5

[6 x 4.8 x 2.3"] I wanted to revise the review I wrote. I thought Commlite adapter bricked my Sigma lens, but, on second thought, Commlite might not be the reason why my Sigma lens had trouble opening/closing aperture blades. Commlite didn't have any issue with other lenses on my Leica SL, and this adapter was the only option for my Leica SL, so I am giving it a five star. 5
