A: I do not have a second shooter or never used one, but I would assume you could. I have used this to attach several things to the Kessler receiver. I have the pocket jib, and I attached this to the bottom so it was easier and faster to use on a tripod. I would double check with Kessler but I would assume you would be able to.

A: As a former movie camera assistant, I would avoid putting the camera on harsh surfaces by laying down a clean camera carpet, or a tarp or by using a tripod head on a high-hat stand. If you do have to put it on dirt, be prepared with a small brush and/or blower to clean out the detritus.
