Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Has anyone ever had a smaller commuter plane refuse to put this smaller International (either vs 2 or 3) on as carryon?

A: Yes. Just had the bag refused in a AA flight. It was a small regional jet. Would not fit into the overhead. However the case locked up and equipment was OK when I inspected at pickup.

Q: 2. Would this have room for a Canon 600mm?

A: No.

Q: 3. Is tipping forward a problem when a laptop is inserted?

A: I have no problem with tipping with a 15 mbp. This may be a little obvious but the lid gets heavy with the laptop in it. Sometimes, in a rush, I forget and just swing it open. This is, of course, user error and nothing wrong with the bag. Unless you have some crazy gaming laptop I believe you'll be fine.

Q: 4. is it can put canon 600mm 4F lll and 300mm f 2.8 11 together?

A: Yes, they can fit together. Probably best to place one facing up and the other facing down.

Q: 5. What are the dimensions of this case?

A: Any chance that you might look at B&H SPECS ?

Q: 6. Is it possible to get on the plane with this bag and is it suitable for a macbook pro 2019 computer 15? '

A: Yes the Airport Security V3.0 Carry On from Think Tank is designed to meet most USA domestic and most international airline carry-on requirements and it can fit a 15 inch laptop.

Q: 7. Will the sony fx9 fit inside without breaking it down?

A: The interior of the case is 13.0 x 18.5 x 6.5-7.5" And the camera without protrusions is 5.75 x 5.61 x 9.02". You would need to put the camera on its side and it will be a very snug fit and that is with breaking it down. I would not recommend that case for that setup. This is a better option but you still might need to break it down, Think Tank Photo Airport Security V3.0 Carry On (Black) BH #THAPSECV3 • MFR #730572 https://bhpho.to/33L20mn

Q: 8. Would this roller bag be a good option for carrying a couple of Profoto B1X monolights for location shoots?

A: Yes, the Think Tank Photo Airport International V3.0 Carry On (Black) would be an excellent option for carrying a couple of Profoto B1X monolights.

Q: 9. Apple no longer makes the 15 inch Macbook Pro. WIll this case hold the 16 inch version of the Macbook Pro?

A: The main difference between the 15" MBP and 16" MBPs have typically been the screen size (with a thinner bezel) and the main chassis has not increased in size by much. From my understanding and from comparing sizes of the Macbook Pros online, I do not see and problems with it fitting. Dimensions for your consideration: 15" MBP 2019: Height: 0.61"/1.55cm, Width: 13.75"/34.93cm, Depth: 9.48"/24.07cm 16" MBP 2020: Height: 0.64"/1.62cm, Width: 14.09"/35.79cm, Depth: 9.68"/24.59cm

Q: 10. Curious about the 400 f2.8. How well will it fit with two large bodies and several other lenses? Thanks.

A: Its not ideal for a 400mm....especially with lens hood if you want all the other stuff. 300mm 2.8 no problem. I love the bag, as it can fit easily on any plane. I can fit several 1dxmk2 bodies and multiple lenses. I have a 200-400mm f4, and find best way to travel with everything is the big glass in either a glass taxi and laptop in roller, or a bigger backpack to carry big lens and laptop in that with everything else in roller.

[Shoulder Strap] I have 4 Think Tank bags (backpack, roller, shoulder). They are built extremely well so I can't say that any have worn out or needs to be replaced or repaired. Like all travel photographers they get beat up on the journeys and none have ever failed me. Love the built-in locking mechanism added to the new generation of roller bag. Plenty of dividers. A place for everything and in a way I can carry too much. The older you get the less you want to carry but if you need to, this bag seems to have a place for it. It looks like everyone else's roller so it doesn't scream PHOTOGRAPHER so that makes me feel at ease when on the street in a foreign country. Can't go wrong with this bag.

[5.815 lb] Rarely do I write reviews. What really impressed me was the strength of the internal dividers. The padding and velcro is really, really solid. Gear is locked in place. There is no comparison to my backpack from another manufacturer (which of itself is a high quality bag). I delayed buying this because of the price. You do get what you pay for.

[Shoulder Strap] This held two cameras and 7 lens, as well as chargers , filters, neck and wrist straps. Etc. i will use the duffle bag to carry a couple smaller travel tripods.

[Shoulder Strap] I previously purchased the smaller version thinking it wouldn't be that heavy.... well it is and you will feel it after walking for 10 minutes through the airport or wherever. This one has wheels and is larger but still fits in majority airplane overhead compartments. I have a 400 f2.8 and this fits just fine along with another camera and 70-200 combo. Added bonus is this bag has security in mind and has two locking mechanisms (TSA approved) for peace of mind.

[Shoulder Strap] I needed a bag with the same exterior dimensions as my Airport Takeoff V2, but with more interior space. It took a little creative packing, but I was able to fit all my regular gear in this bag. 3 bodies (2 with battery grips), 400mm f2.8, 70-200 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, and a 16mm fisheye. I appreciate the ability to lock the laptop compartment. The Takeoff was missing that feature. The only negative compared with the Takeoff are the transparent pockets on the inside. They're not as spacious.

[Yes] This bag is the best and quickest way to load out a bunch of random stuff from my place and throw it in the car. So much easier to use than say, hard cases, crates, or traditional duffels. I own two of the 75L bags and one of the 50L duffels, and would recommend the 75L as the best choice between the two, since it self-supports thanks to the H shaped dividers. Great quality and I am not worried that the straps will break or come unstitched when I put a lot of weight in this thing.

[Yes] A very good piece of equipment for caring for my camera gear. It can’t replace a pelican case for fieldwork but is very good otherwise.

[Shoulder Strap] I have traveled with my wildlife photography gears and landscape gears in this well made carryon bag. Couple this with a shoulder bag or a small backpack and you’re covered. Highly recommended to wedding and nature photographers. This bag will last many hundreds thousands miles!!!
