You plug it in to charge it and there's an app for it. I downloaded the app and had to update the software, which went smoothly. It connected through Bluetooth with no issues. Then I tested the volume, inside my house, and the volume blew my mind!! I kept thinking it was at its max level but it still kept going! I could FEEL the bass! The app is simple to use, very to-the-point with different light and sound options. I didn't even think about using it for karaoke until I saw that karaoke was a setting to use with a mic. In my video I didn't show that there's a pocket to put things in, which is convenient. The only thing I think would have made it even better is a cup holder. For a party speaker, I figured there would be one. Overall, it is definitely worth the price to me!

I had been wanting this kind of speaker for some time now because my family and I host a lot of parties , dinner parties , kids birthdays etc. We would usually hire a dj or someone to help with the music.Now , with this do it all speaker we no longer have to hire anyone. It is amazing quality , super sturdy , the sound is amazing , its bluetooth , has wheels so you could take with you anywhere. Its just amazing , I am super glad I got it.

[AAC] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several bluetooth speakers including two of the LG XG9's which I think sound excellent. My daughter got the XL7S tower, and I took a look at it.

It's not light coming in at 35lbs, but with the handle and wheels it is easy to move around. The battery is rated up to 20 hours of playtime which I would assume would be at lower volume. You can charge your phone with the speaker while streaming from it.

As with LG XBoom's, they are easily paired with the app to tweak settings. The controls are also on the top of the speaker for adjusting the sound to your liking. I played some of my favorite genre of music, heavy metal, to check it out. As expected, the sound was solid. Decent volume, and was able to get the EQ in a U-Shape that I like the most. The highs weren't purely crisp, but nonetheless they sounded good combined with the bass output of the speaker. One thing that really didn't interest me, but it's cute for a party, are the emoji's that can be displayed on the speaker. It is a cool party touch. Overall the speaker puts out s nice light show for those who want it.

I would recommend this speaker. Nice on the patio for a party or just for hanging out and wanting decent sound.

I’m afraid that I might scare the surrounding apartment next to me. The design of the speaker with wheels on it makes it very easy to move around. The speaker is said to be water resistant but I will not turn it on around near water just to be safe. The wide options of connectivity makes it ready for different types of visitor that will potentially use this, my cousin plays guitar and we were surprised that the speaker has a port for it. The led displays is beautifully made and an entertainment on its own I can watch it for minutes at a time being entertained. I understand battery could add weight to the speaker and may need a powerful one but it will be a great addition for this speaker in my opinion. [AAC] This was a Birthday gift for my son. It has more to it than I realized! He loves to play DJ, and it will get lots of use from the whole family at backyard parties.

I've been using it a lot on this rainy week to jam out while cleaning. I can hear it through the whole house and the music is pretty crisp and clear. My favorite feature is taking calls through it as it has a built-in microphone and I can use my phone assistant too. I look forward to using it at the beach or BBQs because it is definitely going to be a talking point and a joy to have. The included app is handy for the light themes it has as well as the sound boost option. The sound boost really adds the sprinkles on top for this speaker, I think it sounds like other speakers without it. Lastly, the carrying strap has two options to carry like an old boom box or throw it over like a purse strap. That's a plus to me because if you have kids and need both hands to move quick you can just throw it over your shoulder and go! It is a very powerful speaker with 1000 Watt but it is also portable with convenient handle and wheels that allow me to transport it wherever I like it.
My favorite feature is the LED screen that you can customize via the app and have your personal message playing during playing.
