This 12' Interlocking Air-Cushioned Light Stand 12' 3-Packfrom Interlocking Air-Cushioned Light Stand 12' 3-Packis a standard general-purpose light stand with a unique difference. This stand folds flat and has an interlocking mechanism with a release button, so it can be locked together with additional stands. When linked together, several stands can be easily carried with one hand. This makes them easy to travel with and store because they take up minimal space when interlocked.

With features like beefy locks with T-handles for exceptional torque, these stacker stands are sturdy enough to provide a secure mount for lights, even when they're at maximum height. Each stand features a 5/8" baby pin compatible with most studio lights and flash heads. And for extra functionality, the baby pin has a 3/8"-16 male thread to add a ball head or accessory arm. A 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 bushing adapter is included to mount a mirrorless or point-and-shoot camera or accessories like a ring light or microphone. Air cushioning ensures mounted equipment and fingers are protected because the sections will slowly ease down without slamming when the locks are loosened.

Q: 1. Would like to use the 12 ft version of this stand with the Nanlite Forza 300bii and 36" Angler Softbox v2. Will this work?

A: The Impact Link Interlocking Air-Cushioned Light Stand (12', 3-Pack) can support up to 22lbs and will work with the Nanlite Forza 300bii and 36" Angler Softbox v2.

Q: 2. I was thinking of using this to hold a softbox a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/610080-REG/Westcott_411_uLite_Constant_Light_with.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/610080-REG/Westcott_411_uLite_Constant_Light_with.html/a that would function as a hair light. Will it: 1. Support the weight of the softbox?2. Extend high enough to illuminate the hair of someone standing, let's say a person 6 feet tall? Thanks very much!

A: I would recommend a more robust boom for a softbox. I have a Pepper 100 focusing spot on it and I had to tie an extra weight on it to get the reach I needed.

Q: 3. is this lighstand compatible with the lumecube panel?

A: If you referring to a Lume Cube panel that have 1/4 screw receiver or baby pin 5/8 then yes, the Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand (Black, 8') will be compatible.

Q: 4. I have three lights. Is there an option to purchase this "as is" and another with just a single stand?

A: The Impact VR Compatible Stand Kit BH #IMLS8AICSK (B&H Kit) is made up of BH #IMLS8AI and BH #OBBD0.

Q: 5. I want to install Godox ad600 lighting in addition to Godox umbrella, is there a hole for the umbrella?

A: Yes, The AD600 does offer integrated umbrella shaft.

Q: 6. What would these measure from top to bottom and around when clipped together x 3 or 4?

A: The closed length of the Impact Link Interlocking Air-Cushioned Light Stand (7') is 27.4" (2.28 ft) and 2” in diameter when folded and lying flat. So, a bundle of three would measure approximately 27.4" x 6", or 27.4" x 8" for a bundle of four.

Q: 7. I want to use it with Aputure 600d Pro and Light Dome 150, total weight of the light head and modifier is 18lbs, will it holds?

A: The Impact Link Interlocking Air-Cushioned Light Stand (12') is not the sturdiest stand for the Aputure 600d Pro and Light Dome 150. A sturdier stand that I would recommend is this Impact Turtle Base C-Stand (10.75', Chrome). https://bhpho.to/456j7x8 This Impact Steel Roller Stand II with Low Base and Braking Wheels (9.5') is another great option if you want wheels. https://bhpho.to/2myvajQ

Q: 8. Looking at doing a makeshift photobooth, would this support an ipad, a canon dslr, and the honey badger at the top. maybe a 24inch monitor in the future, total weight is around 12-13 pounds not counting the wiring?

A: The total load capacity of this stand is 22 lbs from the top of the stud. You may be better off with a stand that has a heavier load capacity for safety reasons, such as the Matthews Digital Triple Riser Sky-Hi Baby Stand - 13.5' (4 m) B&H # MADTRBS which can hold up to 58 lbs. https://bhpho.to/2QD20Bz

Q: 9. Can i detach the center pole ?

A: No, it is riveted to the base.

Q: 10. What bag will fit this 3-pack?

[Yes] So far these stands have felt and worked well. The stacking is more useful than you might first think. Unlike other stackables I have used, these slide smoothly to open and close. These feel as solid and capable as any other similar height stand and I've had no concerns with an AD200 and octabox (24 through 48) on it. I bought four and I'm happy I did.

Now, despite another reviewer suggesting all the connecting pieces are metal, they are NOT. The block that holds the legs together, and the collars that hold the thumbscrews for the center column are plastic, but they feel sturdy and well made, better than some stands I've had that DO have metal collars. (The screw threads themselves are metal of course) The folding tab to release or secure the legs is metal. The little button and hook that holds the stands together when stacked I believe is metal. As that's the part I've seen break on many other stackables, I'm encouraged that this one seems a bit stronger.

[Black] I like this stand for light duty work. As a standalone (without latching its brothers together), it’s easy to move around my space and very easy to travel with. I can see why they sell these meant to attach others to it.

My favourite part is the air cushioning. If I do put something rather heavier on it (it can handle my Amaran 300C but would want to go heavier than that) lowering the light is nice and smooth. No jostling to the bottom.

This stand folds away nicely too. Really well designed (for light duty work).

Recommended.

[Round] I bought this more for the strength weight, than the stackability aspect. I found this to be a little more sturdy than the manfrotto version. Lighter too. Holds up a good amount of weight for a key light and 36in softbox. It folds flat too which does help me save space

[4] This is one of those things where you think the stand I have is good enough. That light stand I bought at a yard sale works just fine! Maybe it does, but we're putting expensive things on these stands, might wanna consider a good one. I was considering getting the lightest and most portable for my on location shoots. But then you need to haul around heavy sandbags and most of the compact ones seem to have a wobble to them. This one from small rig not only goes to nearly ten feet and is air cushioned, but it opens up with a nice wide base. Very stable! And the lever lock is a nice touch so you're not cranking on twist locks and risking them breaking. It doesn't pack up as small as others, I think it's around 3 feet folded. But it definitely gives me confidence and assurance that it's not going to fall over

[Aluminum] I have always used cheap light stands that do not have any Air-cushioning in them, but this one has saved my lights multiple times! When I first unboxed it I was a little confused as to how it folded, but was delighted that it packs down flat.

Great buy, all I need now are some sand bags.

[6 lb] These are kind of game-changers in how they lay flat and lock together. If you're on the move a lot, like I am - you will appreciate the design. As far as being a light stand, they work well - just pay attention to the weight limit.

[4] I love the design of these stands. When collapsed, I love that they close very flat as opposed to the standard light stand design. It is such an efficient way to store the stands and saves a ton of space. Being able to link them together is also a fantastic design. This makes storing them a dream, and they look very neat and professional when locked together and put away. You can store them standing up or you can store them on the ground easily and tightly. They have a release button when they are locked together which is easy to use and works well. The build quality of these stands is fantastic. All of the locking mechanisms are metal, the knobs are metal, and the tightening mechanisms feel very firm and secure. They contain large metal wingnuts for tightening down which feel good in the hand and work very well. I love that they have air cushioning for lowering. This allows the sections to slowly ease down when lowering to prevent equipment from slamming down, which protects the lights/equipment mounted to the stand and also helps prevent the risk of something coming down too fast and smashing your finger. This is a very nice feature that I appreciate. The stands are also very stable. Because of its unique design, when the three legs are opened, it gives a nice, wide base. This adds to the overall stability of the stand and makes them very secure. Adding to their versatility, the top of the stands come with a 3/8-16 to 1/4-20 adapter. This allows you to use the stands for a wide variety of accessories besides lights. You can mount a ring light, microphone or even mount a camera straight to the bottom if you so desired. I am very impressed with these light stands. They are very well made, strong, versatile and the locking design for storage is fantastic. [6 lb] I picked up a 3-pack of these light stands and they have been working great for holding large softboxes (36). I'm a fan of the convenient locking so that all 3 can be connected together and carried as one. Construction is solid with minimal plastic parts, and I really like the metal twist lock for tightening the legs into place.

These were not too expensive while on sale and B&H service is always fantastic.

[Aluminum] The first thing that stood out to me about these light stands is the build quality. These stands feel like they should cost at least double the current selling price. These stands are almost all metal and feel hefty and sturdy like they will last for many years to come. The metal knobs are fantastic because in the past with similarly priced light stands, the plastic knobs wouldn't last very long. Theses stands easily held my aputure 300x lights with attached diffusers and they did not sway when I raised the lights to about 8ft. I also used these stands to hold a 9ft backdrop and they performed great! The thing that stands out the most about these stands is how they connect together. At first I thought the connectability was a gimmick, but after traveling with these stands to several jobs - being able to connect the stands easily and having them lay flat on a floor, van or cart - they actually saved space and time! The air cushioning is yet another feature that works extremely well and allows for piece of mind when breaking down at the end of the day.

All in all these stands can go toe to toe with the more expensive options and give me confidence that they will last a very long time. They're well worth the price!
