  • The compact bodypack DBXT transmitter offers a locking 3.5mm Sennheiser-style input jack. Attach the included W. Lav Pro lavalier microphone to your subject, plug it into the transmitter, and your ready to go.
  • The lavalier mic is waterproof and features an omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound 360º around the capsule, providing consistent audio levels, even if the talent turns away from the microphone.
  • With a dynamic range of 123 dB and up to 30 dB of gain, the transmitter can handle a wide variety of mic and line inputs. Two A/D converters ensure pristine 24-bit / 48 kHz digital audio quality.
  • The onboard recorder features both 24-bit and 32-bit float formats, so you never have to worry about gain staging on your backup WAV files—perfect for avoiding dropped signals and wireless interference. Recordings are saved to a microSD card up to 128GB in size; a 32GB microSD card is included.
  • The DBTX can wirelessly sync its timecode generator to that of the Deity TC-1 timecode generator (available separately). Timecode ensures your backup WAV files will sync with your master file in post. Multiple SMPTE frame rates are supported.
  • Alternatively, the DBTX can be synced via the 3.5mm jack if you are using third-party timecode generators.
  • An adjustable RF power output from 10 to 100mW means you can boost the RF transmission signal, at the expense of battery life, to overcome interference in crowded UHF environments.
  • Power is supplied by two AA batteries (included). A pair of lithium batteries will power the transmitter for over 12 hours.

  • The Deity Theos Digital Wireless Microphone System sets itself apart by utilizing a broad UHF spectrum from 550 to 960 MHz instead of the congested 2.4 GHz band. This helps ensure that your audio is free from interference and other issues that can occur when working in a crowded frequency range (actual frequency band size is limited to local laws).
  • Using a wideband UHF spectrum is especially important for filmmakers who need to work in various locations where multiple devices might compete for frequency space. In such situations, Deity Theos ensures that you always have a clear frequency to work with, thus lowering the risk of interference.
  • The DBTX comes with an SMA antenna port, which allows you to swap out antennas to fine-tune your frequency or replace them if they get damaged. This feature also makes it more compact for storage and transportation.

  • The Deity Theos Digital Wireless Microphone System has a unique feature that allows remote control of both the transmitter and receiver (available separately) through the Sidus Audio app.
  • With the app, you can easily perform frequency scanning and assignment, coordinate frequencies among several receivers, adjust gain staging, and remotely trigger the backup recorder. This feature eliminates the need to physically handle the device, making it much more convenient when working on set.
  • The remote control feature is especially useful for filmmakers who need to work with multiple devices or those who need to make adjustments to their audio settings quickly. It saves time, and it ensures that you never miss a critical moment on set.

  • One of the standout features of the Theos Wireless System is the full-color LCD screen, which displays the status of the device. This screen makes it easy to monitor the system's performance, ensuring that you always have a clear view of your audio levels, battery life, and other critical information.
  • This feature is especially useful for filmmakers who need to work in various locations and lighting conditions.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. So if Zaxcom has a patent on this how are companies like Rode or DJI allowed to put to market a a wireless system (granted prosumer level) but can record internally as well as send signal back to camera at the same time?

A: Thanks for response. Yes I am aware of that but it still does not answer how Rode and DJi who sell in US. How are they able to sidestep the us patent

Q: 2. Are US & Global Receivers the same, will this pair with Global Transmitters & record internally ?

A: The Deity Microphones Theos D2RX Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Microphone Receiver will be able to pair with the transmitter unit regardless of region. However, US versions of this system will not be able to record internally while transmitting.

Q: 3. What is the difference in battery life between the NP-BX1 battery and 3 AAA batteries?

A: The Sound Devices A20-Mini Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter and Recorder will run for approximately 4.5 hours on the low power setting or approximately 2.8 hours on the high power setting when using the NP-BX1 rechargeable battery. When using three lithium AAA batteries to power the A20-Mini, the approximate battery life is 5.2 hours on the low power setting or approximately 3 hours on the high power setting.

Q: 4. how can you attach the Sennheiser MKE2 lav?

A: You can use the Sennheiser MKE 2 Gold Series Subminiature Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with 3-Pin LEMO Connector - Black (B&H # SEMKE24CG) with the Sound Devices A20-Mini Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter and Recorder. The mic input on the A20-Mini uses a 3-pin LEMO connector.

Q: 8. I believe that, in US, you can either record on the unit OR use as a transmitter, but not both at same time. Is that right? If so, why?

A: Simultaneous Record and Transmit mode is not available on A20-Mini units sold or operated in the United States of America. A different manufacturer owns the patent to the technology to do both at the same time.

[20 Hz to 20 kHz] I bought them as backup for my Wisycom receiver and they do the trick. They’re nice and sturdy, work just as well as the Wisy whips, and you can use the Lectro cutting guide with them if your frequency isn’t on the supplied one. Only complaint is that the RA joint is a little stiff, but for the price, can’t be beat

[2.5 to 3.3 V] We use this product to allow the preacher to leave the pulpit and to be heard especially, during powerpoint presentations. This is our second Bogen mic. Very satisfied.

[20 Hz to 20 kHz] Bought these to pair to my Sony URX-PO3D dual receiver. They synced up immediately. I added the Countryman EMW Lavs w/ Sony connectors and the sound is fantastic. The body pack is smaller than any other I've had before, but it is very solid. I put it on and walked outside the building and across the parking lot - solid signal. This will be my go-to audio setup for a long time!

[-40 dB] Im an owner of a few older UWP-D models but this has a different feel when you look at it.
Its a little bit smaller than the older, the antenna is a little bit more protected and also, the unit is 24g lighter than the older one.
It has a few upgrades like auto-gain, + 15 dB sensibility boost the screen turn off by it self using less battery than the older.
Im really happy with it and now Im going to upgrade my older models for this one.

[0.64 lb] I purchased 2 UTX-M40 TRANSMITTERS, 1 URX-P03D receiver and an extra ECM-V1BMP for my Sony RX10M3/RX100M7 cameras. The setup works great for 4K videos using the 3.5mm output. The microphones focus on the subjects with very little background. I am very happy with this setup as the RX100M7 is very portable when using a belt pouch for the receiver.

[84] Rode sets the standard - this replacement is top-notch. DON'T JUST BUY THIS - you need the RX transmitter too. This is meant as a replacement if the TX breaks (I broke mine from slamming into a chair)
