[0.32 lb] For $20, this is worth it all. If you are planning on having a backup or a really budget M.2 this would definitely make it. I currently have my windows installed on this and it's quite noticeable comparing to the older ssd's I had.

[0.32 lb] I used this to clone my existing 120G SSD drive to a new 500G SSD drive. I was surprised how quickly this worked. Took about 60 seconds to perform the cloning operation with a 100G used on the 120G drive. Cloning was successful without any problems.

[0.32 lb] I use it in a Mac Mini; I mount it flat so that the heat that it generates dissipates evenly.

[0.32 lb] I love the construction of it and it works well. It has a plastic bottom part that's sticky so it can stick on to the laptop if you want to and you can leave it unplugged if you don't need it but you won't lost it this way. No issues with it so far. Didn't speed test it but it's definitely over the 1gb/s speed. Love it, thanks B&H!

[0.32 lb] If you have an M.2 SATA drive, don't just toss it in a drawer and forget about it! It's easy to put it in this enclosure and use it. Just make sure it's an M.2 SATA drive and not an NVME drive!

[0.32 lb] I bought this enclosure to clone my stock SSD to a Samsung Evo 850 M.2 1 TB SSD. Combining with the freely downloaded Samsung Data Migration that works exclusively with Samsung products, the process was flawless and easy. This enclosure was perfect for the job. It's got a solid metal build, vents for cooling, and a connection that works with USB 3.1 or even 3.0 if you don't have 3.1. I turned the previous M.2 I had into a mini-portable external drive, with ridiculous transfer speeds like at about 300MB/sec. Oh, and here is an LED light on the bottom that indicates it is being used! This is a great enclosure. =

[0.32 lb] Give it space to dissipate heat: it gets warm. If you mount it, consider which direction the heat will flow.

[0.32 lb] There are many enclosures out there for your new SSD card and it's often hard to make a decision. First, be sure that the enclosure will fit your new card and then, if it fits, get this one. Sets up in two minutes, plug it in and go. What an advance over the old hard drive set up. So far, I rate this five stars.

[0.32 lb] I tried another M.2 enclosure from another retailer before this one, and couldn't get a working connection. I learned there are a couple of different types (sizes) of M.2 and not all enclosures are compatible with all devices. The description on this one listed it as being compatible and it worked immediately.

It also seems to be well constructed, with a mostly metallic construction and two small screws for assembly, and overall is a better quality than the first device I tried.
