Q: 4. hi what is the maximum drive copy size for this dock can it take a 8tb drive can these dock accept any drive bigger than 6tb thanks?

A: The StarTech USB 3.0/eSATA to Dual 2.5/3.5" HDD/SSD Docking Station with UASP BH #STSDOCK2U33E is currently tested with up to 4TB drives according to Startech. We could not guarantee that a larger drive would work 100%.

Q: 5. What is the largest drive size (in terms of TB) this unit can support? I have an older StarTech and it cannot be used with drives over 2TB.

A: I use 6TB drives in this.

Q: 6. Any problems reported using Samsung 870 EVO 2TB and 4TB SSD's? Thanks.

A: We are not aware of any issues with this dock.

Q: 7. What's the difference between tbe SDOCK2U33EB and the SDOCK2U313 ?

A: The two units are similar in function but the BH #STSDOCK2U313 uses a faster USB protocol.

Q: 8. This cloning is sector by sector? i can Copy for example the MBR and partition table?Or are there some files that are not copied ??

A: It will duplicate a drive sector by sector.

Q: 9. What is the largest size drive that it supports?

A: The StarTech UNIDOCKU33 does not have a maximum supported drive capacity.

Q: 10. Is this Mac and PC compatible?

A: Yes it is Mac and PC compatible. Mac may need an adapter. And some PC might need an adapter.

[Plastic] Have been using this device for over 2 months and haven't had a single issue with it. Setup was extremely easy. Just follow the simple instructions. Had it up and running in 15 minutes. My setup includes dual monitors, VOIP soft phone (phone works through my laptop) and video conferencing. No throughput issues with all of this traffic running through the Startech dock. 5

[2.1 lb] This dock is great, ive used it with SSDs and HDDs and both work flawlessly on this. I mainly used it to clone my drives. The best thing about this in my opinion is that you have the option to turn on each dock individually instead of them all being on at the same time like some other's i've used. Ill probably be buying another soon 5

[2.1 lb] I use it in RAID 0 with two Hitachi 3T connected to a MacBook Pro to USB3 with UASP enable and I got more than 300 MB/s testing it with Black Magic program. I recommend it. 5
