Q: 1. Can my epson P900 use these papers in the regular topside printing path, around 10.5 mil.?

A: The papers in the Hahnemuhle Glossy Sample Pack FineArt Assortment would feed in the front paper feeder. The P900 Epson can load fine art media, poster boards, and other thick media in the front paper feeder up to 0.011 inch (0.3 mm) thick.

Q: 2. I have been using only the Epson Premium lustre paper for a while and I find it leans toward a blue-ish hue. I wanted to try another brand. I have an espon 3880. have you experienced any quirks with this brand?

A: This may be due, at least in part, to your printer's color profile calibration as well.

Q: 3. IS THE PAPER MAT ?

A: No, it's not matte. It's a 'High Gloss Metallic' paper which is '100% cotton rag' & uses the 'Photo Black Ink' on pigment printers. This is one of the beauties of Hahnemuhle Fine Art paper, cotton & can also be glossy.

Q: 4. A question for those who printed on this paper: what images did you find were most suited to it? If there's a way to post an image that would be great.

A: It is best for photos with metallic elements, high contrast, reflections, or other striking visual elements. Unfortunately they do not offer this in one of their sampler packs currently.

Q: 5. I am having a hard time finding the correct ICC profile for this paper. Any suggestions?

A: You can find icc profiles on the Hahnemuehl website.

Q: 6. Are the papers labeled so you know which is which?

A: The papers in the Hahnemuhle Glossy Sample Pack FineArt Assortment (8.5 x 11", 16 Sheets) are labeled so you know which one's you prefer best for future ordering.

Q: 7. where can you download the ICC profiles for these? The epson site for the P800 seems to only have a few legacy papers

A: When I researched this question Epson told me that they only had a few ICC profiles. Its frustraiting and disappointing that Epson has limited ICC support. Ive used these papers with general settings like glossy and matte. Finally, I got RedRiver paper that offers ICC Profiles. Ive been happy with the result.

A: Yes, it is designed to for album covers to accomodate the hinges.

Q: 10. A client wants to know about this paper's longevity? What can I tell him?

A: As with most good quality fine art inkjet papers, their archival longevity typically exceeds 30 years. In some of Hahnemuhle's products, the lifespan of a print can be upwards of 200 years. While we couldn't find any archival testing results from them on the Matt Fiber Duo, proper use-case will ensure your prints will last many, many years. [0.6 lb] I tried this sample pack in order to print the same image and comparer on different papers. Hahnemuhle is great paper. However I found it's warm white didn't suit my images as much as Canson's Etching does. Canson's Etching has a cooler (whiter) white, which several of my black and white photos call for. 5

[0.6 lb] Nice sample pack if you're looking for a variety of Photo Rag papers. The rice paper is an interesting addition, but nice to see how it compares to the thicker papers! 5

[0.6 lb] I thought I would give the Hahnemuhle FineArt paper a shot on my new Canon Pixma Pro-10 and I am sure glad I did. This sample pack is a great way to try out the different kinds of paper Hahnemuhle offers, before spending a lot of money on a full package of paper. It is hard to pick a favorite out of this pack, but I think the German Etching and Albrecht Durer might be the choices I'd make if buying full packages. Both give color photos an interesting look. Monet Canvas was cool as well though, giving the photo I printed on it a painterly look. :) Also try the other Matte & Glossy sample packs from Hahnemuhle as well. Equally great papers! 5
