[0.825 lb] I like the functionality of this ballhead. It seems to hold strong, and is easily adjusted. I wish it comes with 3/8-16 to 1/4-20 Reducer Bushing, or at least mentioned it was needed. I'm going to be using this on my two monopods, and it's the wrong thread.


Certainly my fault for not noticing, but it would have been helpful to suggest it the description. It was listed under suggested accessories. So there is that.

[Yes] I had a similar unit from American DJ, but I thought I would try this unit this time around. The unit is well build, has additional features with the charger ports and front power strip. Its quality constructed and solid enough for a good industrial rack install. The blue lighting doesn't scream at me with a color that is easier on the eyes. It even has a circuit breaker overload switch. It was an easy choice.

[0.825 lb] For me, perfectly matched to my new carbon fiber MT055CXPRO4 tripod. It balances the weight both in carry and extended-leg setting. The ball head is certainly strong enough for my D810 with a big zoom out front, yet when adjusted for video I can smoothly follow my subject with no hysteresis stick-slip at all.
Those adjustments are so well designed, there is no problem or pain in my 78 year old arthritic hands even in long nature capture sessions.

[0.825 lb] i bought this piece of power control gear to control my music studio from my desk, and it was replacing an ADJ unit of similar build. this one comes with an outlet on the front and two USB charging ports which makes it more convenient than the already great ADJ unit. would highly recommend, and the blue is really easy on the eyes :)

[Yes] Attached this adapter to a pair of 10x50 binoculars, then mounted it to a pan/tilt head tripod for the Annular Solar Eclipse. As a safety note, the binoculars were fitted with certified solar filters. The adapter attached easily and solidly to the binoculars and the tripod head. It was in continuous use for 3 hours and there were no issues with it.
I consider it a very good purchase.

[0.825 lb] Blackmagic does NOT provide power switches on their switchers, recorders and routers. Individual switches allows rebooting of a single unit during a live show without needing to crash your whole rack. The USB jacks are helpful too.

[0.825 lb] I've used the Manfrotto 494 Center Ball Head in the past and have always found them reliable and easy to use. [Yes] I am a one man show for pictures and video. This along with my other gear makes my job easy. Especially on hot summer days when my hands sweat, the large easy grip knobs are very helpful.
