Q: 3. Does it work well with the new Focus 7 Bolt Receiver with handles and strap?

A: Yes, this one will work as you desire.

Q: 4. Would it fit the Focus 7 Bolt with antennas on the top? Also would it be possible to attach standard SmallHD handles to the cage?

A: We do not believe it will work with the Bolt models. The Antennas are on the top of the monitor and will be blocked by the cage.

Q: 5. Will this work on just an iPad Air 2 without the digital director? The photos seem like it slips on the back and would work without the larger holder. I am looking for a better sun hood solution for my Inspire 1 remote.

A: Short answer: No.Long answer: You would have to glue the Velcro straps to the iPad (or iPad case) as the adhesive doesn't stick very well. You would also have to buy additional Velcro to connect it all the way around the iPad. Only a loose band keeps the tip from flopping over. If you velcro it all the way around, it should work fine. Hope this helps!

Q: 6. Does this include the 1/4-20 thumbscrews in the package?

A: The SmallHD Sun Hood for Cine 18" Monitor includes the thumbscrews.

Q: 7. Will this item fit the digital director mini

A: This hood is compatible only with the Digital Director for iPad Air 2 and iPad Air.

A: Yes it folds up, not perfectly but its OKThe sunhood is very well made, thick rubber, and fits perfectly on myRed Touch 7 monitor.

Q: 9. Will this work with any case on an iPad Air?

A: Yes. I have an iPad Air 2 and it fits ok.

Q: 10. Do the sides fold inwards? Trying to see the portability of this before purchasing

A: Yes, the SmallHD Sun Hood for CINE 5/INDIE 5 can fold inwards to make the hood more compact. Please note it will not be completely flat due to the curve of the flaps.

Have used other monitors that would never stay put if you doing any sort of handheld work or even tilts or pans. If you touched them slightly you would have to try and re-attach. Glareguard locks on with magnets that hold firm, yet the hood is easy to remove. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!! 5

Using this on a SmallHD 702 because the SmallHD sun hood is overpriced, hard to mount, and an overall silly and fragile design. This Hoodman fits the monitor just fine and is much more simple and durable, and can be used on other 7 in monitors as well. 5

Typical hoodman quality. Fits nicely on a SmallHD 703 not blocking any controls while shading the image from glare. Monitor is so bright the hood is mostly for privacy or glare. 5
