Q: 1. I have a 5-D mark 3. I want to buy the 200-200 foot housing. I need strobes and accessories that are user friendly. I want to do mostly macro and wide angle pictures. What do you recommend for lenses and strobes for a new underwater DLSR user. I have only had point and shoot cameras prior? Thanks Ken

A: The Ikelite DS-51 Underwater Substrobe Head is a good user friendly strobe. You will need an arm, sync cord and Ikelite CT1K TTL Circuitry and the Hot Shoe Kit to use the strobe with the Ikelite 71702 Underwater Housing. Here is what you will need: Ikelite CT1K TTL Circuitry and Hot Shoe Kit https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1299520-REG/ikelite_46070_ct1k_canon_ttl_kit.html Ikelite Wide-Angle 1" Ball Arm https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1276816-REG/ikelite_4080_06_wide_angle_ball_arm.html Ikelite Sync Cord Ikelite Strobe to Ikelite Bulkhead for one strobe https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1437635-REG/ikelite_45151_sync_cord_ikelite_strobe.html If using two strobes get the Ikelite Sync Cord Two Ikelite Strobes to Ikelite Bulkhead https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1437427-REG/ikelite_45152_sync_cord_two_ikelite.html If you have more underwater questions send an email to uw@bhphoto.com. Q: 2. Does it fit for a 5D?

A: I'm sorry, no.

Q: 3. I am using the Olympus TG5 PT 058 housing. Is it possible to attach it without an adapter?

A: Yes, the Backscatter M52 Wide-Angle Air Lens for Olympus PT Series Underwater Housings fits the Olympus PT-058 housing without the need of an adapter.

Q: 4. i'm assuming this would work for the canon R5 ?

A: The Canon R5C has a dimension of 5.6 x 4 x 4.4" while the Canon R5 is 5.43 x 3.84 x 3.46". As you can see the Canon R5C is a small bit taller, wider, and deeper than the R5, so the Tilta Full Camera Cage Bundle Basic Edition for Canon EOS R5 C should fit around the R5 bit it may not be as snug as it is intended to be. I would getting a cage specifically made for the R5 if you want the best possible fit. See: https://bit.ly/3Waj7Zk

Q: 5. works for canon r6 mark 2?

A: For the Canon R6 Mark II, we recommend the SmallRig Camera Cage for Canon EOS R6 Mark II B&H # SM4159 instead of the Smallrig Handheld Cage Kit for Canon EOS R5/R6/R5 C.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the Sony 12-24 f/2.8 lens?

A: According to their current lens port chart (dated June 2021), they do not have a specific dome for the Sony 12-24 f/2.8 listed. Contact Aquatech and/or see their reference chart here: https://bit.ly/3zPljdc

Q: 7. What are the differences compared to the SmallRig "Black Mamba" Handheld Kit?

A: The difference between the two cage builds are the styling of the cage and the mounting patterns.

Q: 8. Do you have to buy an additional cover for longer lenses?

A: Thank you for the inquiry. See the Port Recommendation column of this chart to see supported lenses and their corresponding ports. a href= http://www.ikelite.com/images/products/housings/general/dl-port-charts.pdf target= _blank http://www.ikelite.com/images/products/housings/general/dl-port-charts.pdf/a

Q: 9. How can I connect the dome with the Housing , I think there is a Adapter I can’t know it?

A: Follow instructions on the Ikelite pdf attached: http://docs.ikelite.com/instructions/6402-instructions.pdf

Q: 10. Might this grip/strap work on my Olympus PT-056 housing for my TG-3?

A: The Olympus PT-056 housing only has one place on the bottom for attaching a grip or wrist strap. So the Fantasea Line Hand Grip Strap is not compatible. This grip is compatible with housings that have slots on the top and bottom of one side of the housing. The Fujifilm XP Series Rugged Floating Wrist Strap would work best with the Olympus PT-056. The strap will allow you to go underwater when it is on your wrist. On the surface it will float: a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/998571-REG/fujifilm_600012898_rugged_float_strap.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/998571-REG/fujifilm_600012898_rugged_float_strap.html/a

[1.25 lb] WOW, I was rigging so much to this to make the system neutral. Why bother when Ikelite came up with this amazing yet simple design and incorporating the use of an item I woudl already have in my scuba kit...scuba weights!!!

[1.25 lb] For the price it is not bad, as the weight mount also makes it much easier to a 6 dome port on and off, plus gives some protection from ramming the bottom of the port into the sand or rock when attempting wide close-up images. I put a solid 1Kg (~2Lb) weight on the mount and it has worked well for most of my lenses that work in a dome port.

[1.25 lb] After years of working with a modified tray, I changed it out for the Ikelite with quick release handles. Made for a nice clean setup. The Quick release make it easy to detach the arms and lights so you can work on your camera (change batteries, view photos, etc) and reattach them in seconds. Handles are a good size and comfortable (even with drysuit gloves). There was even a easy way to install a addition bracket for my GoPro without compromising real estate on the tray or added too much additional weight with extra fansenter and brackets.

Very happy with the new set up. Ergonomic, comfortable, stable, and the quick release is a great bonus feature!

[1.25 lb] Once you get one of these you can not go back to a default Aquatica viewer. Have mine on the 5DII housing. Easy to put on and off for travel. Setting up shots underwater is hard enough and this makes life easier especially if you are far sighted. Gives a full view of the viewfinder. Expensive but worth it.

[1.25 lb] Until I got this housing, I've been using a less-expensive competitor's flexible housing. It worked fine, but I was shooting with my older Canon 5D Mk IV, because I didn't trust that housing with my new R5. This new Ikelite housing provides a real sense of confidence that there will be no leaks, so I trust it with the more expensive, newer camera. The better sensor, lens and focusing speed of the R5, along with the positive control and clear display of the 200DL housing, makes the combination a whole new level of quality. My ratio of usable shots has quadrupled with this combo, making my time underwater much more efficient. The dual handles, trigger extensions, and large, clear back cover make the 200DL easy to handle and predictable to shoot with. Very happy with this purchase.

[1.25 lb] About 2lbs compensates for the buoyancy of the Full Size Dome Port with the Z 14-24mm S lens and I would not want to do without it. Just being able to grab a weight on the boat when I am getting my gear together really makes this an ergonomic solution that works everywhere I have been. The strong elastic strap allows use of a synched up soft weight or a traditional hard weight. The soft rubber knob threads right into the tray and makes trim arm adjustments simple. It's really the only safe way to compensate for the volume of the dome. I have seen ankle weights around the extensions and lead attached to the shade ... but that puts the strain on the DL connection points. Not where the load is designed to go! Bottom line: Quick, Easy, Seamless, and it does not risk floods like something attached to the port system.
