This Canon EF to Nikon Z Autofocus Adapter - Fringer EF-NZ IIallows an EF- or EF-S-mount lens to be used on a Nikon Z-mount camera. Electronic communication between an attached camera and lens is supported, enabling autofocus as well as auto exposure features. If an attached lens is capable of generating Exif metadata, this adapter is designed to transfer that information so it can be saved with image files generated by the combined Canon EF or EF-S mount lens and Nikon Z-mount camera.

Featuring metal-alloy construction, this adapter is durable while remaining lightweight. Its mounting rings are made with brass to further prevent wear and tear. A weather-sealed design ensures operation under all shooting conditions. To help reduce stress on the camera mount when it is placed on a tripod, the adapter includes a tripod foot with 1/4"-20 threads.

[Metal] I’ve recently got my hands on the Fringer EF-NZ II Adapter, and I can confidently say it’s a game changer for Canon-to-Nikon users like me. This nifty tool has not only expanded my lens usability but also maintained the impeccable image quality, autofocus speed, and accuracy.

The build quality is top-notch, ensuring the adapter fits snugly with both the lens and camera. The electronic contacts allow seamless communication between my Canon EF lenses and Nikon Z6II camera, ensuring that all the autofocus and aperture controls operate smoothly and precisely.

[Metal] I am satisfied with this adapter. Feels a bit tight on both sides for the lens and the camera mount but it sure is sturdy!

Tried it on ef-s 17-85 and I was surprised how loud that lens was. Don't know if it is because of the adapter.

Took me a while to find a cable that wasn' t just for charging.

It's good though!

[Yes] I tried Canon EF 300mm 1:4L IS on my Fuji X-T2 and it worked in AF and MF, in single shot mode, aperture priority and P mode, with IS and w/o IS. I did not try other camera modes. This lens is on the list of tested lenses. I also tried Sigma 150mm APO Macro DG lens. This lens is NOT on the list of tested lenses and it did not work. It might work in the future, if it is included in one of the future hardware updates. Performance of the adapter also depends on your camera. Helpful info can be found on the Fringer web site. All in all - I am happy with the adapter.

[0.73 lb] I was skeptical prior to ordering this adapter as adapters have always been iffy. Additionally, I have the EF to Fuji X adapter and wasn’t all that impressed. However, after testing the autofocus on a Z8 with this adapter, I was impressed. Focus is fast from far to near and near to far. Eye detection works well too. I have yet to try it on fast moving action, however, YouTube reviews are positive.

[Yes] I purchased this as soon and it became available through B&H. I have seen many videos of Scott West (Wild Alaska) on Youtube using the previous version of this adapter on his Nikon Z9, Canon 500mm F4 L IS II combo. After messaging with him I was sold on giving it a go. I went to Fringer's website and saw a series II was about to be released. Now offering weatherproofing! I was really excited about that. Within just a couple days B&H had them in stock and available to ship. The fit and finish is absolutely top notch. The body of the adapter is made out of aluminum with the bayonet mounts made from brass. It is more robustly built than Nikon's FTZ or FTZ II and better built than any of the Canon EF-RF adapters also. Fringer removed the Tripod mount which helps when using a camera with a vertical grip. Not just is it built well it functions beautifully. I am using this adapter on Canon 500mm F4 L IS II with and without my 1.4x III TC and mounting it to the Nikon Z8. I have had zero issues. I've actually been fortunate enough to test AF speed of my Nikanon against my Coworkers Nikon Z9, FTZ II and 600mm F4 FL VR lens combo. Neither of us could detect a focus speed or subject detection difference (AF was a tad slower with 1.4x TC attached). When it comes to stabilization I was really surprised. In my testing this combo was most stable with Lens IS off and In camera VR on. This yielded results easily equal to and possibly surpassing when I was adapting this lens to a Canon R5 via the control ring version of the EF-RF adapter.

[Metal] I am very pleased with this adapter.
I have used it more often on manual focus lenses (TS-E 17mm and MPE-65mm), however, on autofocus options, the adapter responds very well.

[Yes] I couldn't believe my eyes when I mount my Canon EF lenses with this adapter on my Nikon Zf. All of them behave natively in AF performance including eye AF and face detect under dim light condition. I tell ya, Canikon is real!!!!
