[0.18 lb] I have this R/S top plate on my Komodo as well as on my V-Raptor. On the Komodo I have the Mutiny Bolt-On V2 Micro record button connected to it, and on the Raptor I would use it to connect my Tilta right side handle with R/S button.


Bright Tangerine is marketing this product as a Run/Stop Plate for Red Komodo, but works on the Red V-Raptor as well, without any issues.

I just love everything about it. My only maybe SLIGHT complaint, is I wish it had some Rosette mounts in this kit, but I easily added the BT side plate to finish it out!

Well thought out, perfect placement and most importantly it features helicoil inserts so you know it will last. Keeps the system light and adds nato rails to the sides and top. After trying every komodo cage / rail market on the market, this seems like the best solution overall.

[6.7 x 3.1 x 1"] I got this for my RED Komodo and I absolutely love this piece of equipment. I actually had another top rail solution for the Komodo that I returned because it was too bulky and took too much time to setup. That is not a problem with this one.


The NATO rail is quick and easy to lock in and setup. The build quality is SOLID and feels great in your hands. I also love the 15mm Rod top placement. This is great for EVFs and I personally prefer to have my Follow focus motor above the lens, and this easily allows me to do that. The other great thing, is that because it uses a NATO Rail I have found myself able to use this on my other camera cages and configurations as well. This is one piece of gear that has blown me away.

[0.18 lb] I had originally bought the standard komodo baseplate from Bright Tangerine but realized it only had one screw and would twist on the camera showing off alignment of my matte box etc. This DJI version has tabs that fit into the base of the komodo and prevent twisting. It does cost more but is so much better.

[0.18 lb] This is THE solution for add rods to your komodo and being able to go from tripod to handheld in literally 2 seconds.
The latch design is perfect and clamps down tightly to your dovetail plate. The placement of the tightening knobs for the rods is nice.

I was initially going to go with the 8Sinn baseplate but after careful review I noticed that the knobs for tightening the rods interfere with the other knobs. In my opinion, I saw this as a possible hinderance to the ease of use I was looking for as I'm regularly in fast paced situations where struggling with any piece of gear is unacceptable.


If you can afford it, you won't regret it.
Its a deceptively simple tool but a must if you care about your gear working flawlessly and not worrying about fiddling around with the quirkiness that can come from some of the cheaper solutions.

[6.7 x 3.1 x 1"] The quality of this is outrageous. Even though I moved onto a Red made handle, I am keeping this because it is that good. The metal feels better than anything, maybe the only thing better than this is ARRI made aks. Machining is incredible, TBH this is probably underpriced. I could see it being $450 easily.

I'm considering using it in my Alexa Mini as well as the nato standard handle can slide forward and back within the bracket and can be removed to flip 180 if needed. Tightens down and holds firmly in place. Essential for using Komodo on an easyrig or just building it out a bit more.
