[10 to 95%] I replaced 100mb Network cards in ten WinXP PCs with the StarTech 10/100/1000 cards, and the upgrade went great. All the drivers installed no problem, and the response time improvement on the network was exactly as I hoped - lightning fast!

[0.3 lb] When my old ethernet card died this one replaced it smoothly with no difficulties. Shopping was prompt, as usual, from B&H.

[0.3 lb] Used it to upgrade LAN speed on an
old Dell PC running Win7 64 bit. I only had a PCI slot left so this NIC is what
I needed. Installed easily and the drivers loaded automatically, I didn't need
the disc that came in the box.

[Yes] Open the box, open the computer, screw the card in, put the CD in the optical drive to load the driver, plug in the internet cable, Go.

[Yes] Worked great in my HP Z640. All I had left available in my expansion slots was an older style PCI slot. I needed another network port and this worked great.

[Yes] Installed this in my Win 98 gaming rig, Drivers installed nicely and easy. Speed is in between 100-1000 some times limited to PCI bus speed or Hard drive transfer pending what hard drive I am using, Got a slight boost on download speeds too, still a farcry away from getting my 30 mbps connection.

[10 to 95%] This RealTek GB NIC works great in our older DELL PowerEdge 2850 server!! We needed to replace an Intel Pro/1000 MT GB server adapter that went bad and bought another Intel GB adapter but the server would/could NOT recognize the new Intel NIC. Tried everything to remove the installed Intel NIC driver so it would take the new Intel NIC but the Intel NIC just would not be recognized - driver would not install correctly. The SOLUTION was to install the RealTek GB NIC card (non-Intel NIC). The RealTek NIC was recognized by the server upon bootup. I updated the RealTek driver that was installed by Windows Server 2003 using the CD that came with the NIC card. It worked with no problem. Am going to team two of them in the server later. Note: Make sure you update any driver installed automatically by your computer, itself, with the CD driver.
