A: since it is skirted from 3 sides we need to gel only the 4 th side and the bottom . we normally clip them to the skirting and it works well

A: Yes, the pancake chimera will work with that speed ring but I highly recommend going with a Chimera Triolet light kit. It's only a little more expensive and comes with a better multi purpose speed ring and adapters for mogul base, standard screw in bulbs and 2 pin halogen lamps. Way more versatile for just a little more $

[1.65 lb] I bought this Softbox to light a group sitting at a dinner table and it works great! With subtle adjustments of the people and position of the lantern, a variety of moods can be achieved. Chimera Softboxes are very easy to use, durable, compact and always deliver a great result. Only downside if I had to pick one is that they take up a lot of space. 5

[1.65 lb] Overall I really love this, but two things... firstly I saw in another review that they were glad they went with the larger lantern because is barely reaches 4'. I think the 4' is diagonal, not long edge, so it is not really 4' and secondly, you get the impression that it fits any speed ring, and B & H lists several. But it did not fit any that I already had, and one was a speed ring recommended by B & H. You absolutely need to use the Chimera speed ring from Chimera with the spring loaded tabs. Most of the generic ones the holes are too small for the rods. 5

[1.65 lb] I have 2 of these that I use with my 2 LC-120's. It does the job and allows me to leave my control box on the ground when the lights are rigged up at the ceiling. This is an essential add-on for these lights - the included cable is just too short to be useful. 5

[1.65 lb] I have used this on several small sets and have found it to be a great tool. I have put 213 globes into it and was impressed by it's output. Like all the pancakes it has the skirt and is very adjustable. The only downside is it is a bit tough to put together the first time. 5

[1.65 lb] This is great. Extends well and easy to setup. Makes the lc-160 RGBWW a killer soft light to have. It goes down as far as it can go without adding a middle support beam and also a heavier system. But maybe they could look into that. 5

[1.65 lb] This lantern is a perfect source to sneak in overhead via boom arm. Love its low profile and even spread. I sometimes diffuse it even more, but its great just like it is. 5
