Designed to provide power and protection for servers, voice/data networks, medical labs, and light industrial applications, the APC Smart-UPS Battery Backup Surge Protectorfrom APC Smart-UPS Battery Backup Surge Protectorhas been built for customers who want a powerful and efficient UPS with smart management options. Network manageable via serial, USB, or Ethernet, and bundled with PowerChute software for the monitoring, control, shutdown, and energy management, as well as a multi-function LCD status and control console, this UPS provides up to 3.8 minutes of use at its full load of 4800W and 10.53 minutes at its half load of 2400W.

APC's SRT5KRMXLT-IEC features an output of 4800W / 5000VA, an input of 208-240V @ 40-70 Hz (auto sensing), six IEC-320 C13 and four IEC-320 C19 battery backup outlets, a surge energy rating of 480 joules, double-conversion online topology, and a sine waveform. Support is provided by a limited 3-year repair or replace warranty that excludes the battery, as well as a limited 2-year battery warranty.

A: Included along with the APC Back-UPS Pro is the downloadable PowerChute software program to monitor energy usage and prevent data corruption by automatically saving files and shutting down a computer system. The PowerChute software can also be used to monitor the status of the battery backup.

[NEMA L6-30P] The front face buttons weren't quite as intuitive as I'd expected, but eventually you can figure it out. You will need to create an account with APC if you want to use the SmartConnect network cable. But the most important item of note - it is heavy! Lift with your knees, not your back. Better yet, buy a friend a (root) beer and get him/her/it to help you lift it. 5

Great for tight places that do not have actual racks installed but still need power protection to ensure uptime. 8 Standard outlets should provide plenty of room. The LCD screen in the front provides great info on what's going on and changing the battery is simple. 5

[ 480 Joules] Works exactly as advertised. Please note this is not a standard outlet type. 120v 30A locking barrel type. Please make sure you have the proper outlet on the wall. I did not and a surprise electrician expense to deal with. My own fault, the description is pretty clear, if not written in layman's terms. 5

[Lead-Acid] I like this product and use it for various applications that involve motors which have no "spin down capacity. Foe example,just installed 20 at a fitness center where the treadmills simply stop when there is an interruption of AC, due to their poor design. With the Smart-UPS C, there is more than enough power to not only protect the treadmill electronic components but also prevent them from a sudden and dangerous stop. It can also do Network Management which in this application was not needed. Well done! 5
