This Black Mist filter lowers contrast by suppressing and diffusing highlights and lifting shadows to help balance an image's tonal range, helping to create a more cinematic look. It is also commonly used to soften wrinkles and blemishes, and to create a flattering image of a subject.

This ND8 graduated neutral density filter adds 3-stops of density at the edge of the filter and tapers to clear by the center for photographing scenes with large bright areas, such as a daytime sky. It effectively darkens the sky while leaving the foreground unchanged. The soft-edge transition between the dark and clear portions of the filter is suitable for photographing scenes with an indistinct, non-apparent horizon or line between light and shadow, such as landscapes or nature.

Each of these filters increases the exposure for the entire image area, by adding 3-stops or 6-stops. Increasing neutral density offers finer control in available shutter speeds or aperture settings for both still and video applications. Using a longer shutter speed makes it possible to increase blur to convey a sense of movement, as when shooting moving water. Increased density also makes it possible to shoot using wider lens apertures, helping to isolate a subject from the background and increasing bokeh.

The included magnetic filter ring is made to fit 72mm lens filter threads, allowing the included magnetic filters to be quickly attached and removed without fumbling to screw them into place. it is made of durable, lightweight aluminum alloy. The Neewer magnetic system is compatible with K&F Concept's magnetic series filters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will Lee release adapters for lenses with smaller filter threads in the future? I have lenses with 67mm and 58mm filter sizes. If not, can I use step up rings for smaller lenses?

A: SW 150 MK-II HOLDER KIT WHICH I BOUGHT IS FOR SQUARE OR RECTANGULAR FILTERS (ND GRAD OR 10 STOP SOLID ETC) NOT FOR CIRCULAR FILTER. HOW EVER,FROM FIGURE ABOVE IT IT SEEMS THAT IT IS FOR CIRCULAR FILTER.I want to tell you more that , unless you are combiling 2 to 3 filters at a time, not possible to get ultimate quality.Using one specific folter of circular size may be---thats why to go for square or rectangular filter.hope it will help you .

Q: 2. What is the diameter of the inside of the raised rim that slips onto the lens?

A: This Push-On Lens Cap fits on to 72mm diameter lenses.

Q: 3. Can these be stacked, such as using the 4 and the 2 to make a 6?

A: Yes Vivitar 72mm Close Up Macro Lens Kit can be stacked.

Q: 4. Can this flash (Sony) used as a Master can control the neewer NW880s as a slave? or is not compatible with this unit?

A: I called Neewer, because my older Neewer flashes were not working with this new z1 flash as slaves, well most older Neewer are not compatible with this new unit unless on S modes, that is terrible. New problem: Using my Sony a77m2, the Z1 can only be used in S mode for slaves, as soon as the camera is turn on the Master Screen to control the slaves is not available on the flash, if I turn the camera off it is available. The menu on the flash is only available if you set the camera to wireless setting and then the shutter triggers a second or two after been pressed, impossible to get this units to work as intended, I even updated the flash firmware. Any suggestions?

Q: 5. Just wondering if it's the Fujifilm XF10-24 is too wide for it? Will it work on the XF10-24?

A: That lens would be too wide for this hood. You would get vignetting unfortunately.

Q: 6. Will this fit the 24-70 f4 Z lens which calls for the 72b lenscap

A: This will work on the 24-70mm f/4 Z mount lens.

Q: 7. Will this hood fit on my Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro HSM Lens f/Sony?

A: I have a 18-200 mm Nikkor zoom lens (72 mm diameter) on which this hood fits fine (as far as attaching to the lens). It should also fit your lens. The hood folds in for the wider angle zoom. However, there is definite corner shadowing at the widest angles. So depending on how often you shoot wide, it may become a hindrance. My wide angle extends to 76 degrees while your Sigma extends to 79 degrees. Therefore, it is likely to have even more corner shadowing. Beyond the wide angle, however, the hood works fine. In my case, I only need to zoom in a bit to remove the corner shadows. However, there have been times when I took off the hood when the corner shadows were annoying (and I didn't have any sun reflection issues).

Q: 8. Does the rim guard prevent or hinder rotating a circular polarizing filter?

A: The front of the bumper is also threaded to allow filters to be mounted atop it. easyCover recommends mounting the bumper, than the rotating filter on top for easiest use.

Q: 9. Does this fit the 18-200mm lens for D7000 camera?

A: The Nikon 18-200mm lens uses 72mm sized lens caps and filters.

Q: 10. Can you zoom your lens using this housing?

A: You can as long as the lens plus body length does not exceed 12.2".

[72 mm] I have been looking for a better way to use CPL and ND filters to my lenses. I heard about this magnetic system from a professional photographer who had used them. I have a hard time threading on typical filters.
This has been a lifesaver for me.

[72 mm] When I tried to use my magnetic filters on one of my lenses I realized they wouldn't fit (designed for 77mm). B&H had the adapter I needed at a great price and got it to me quickly. 100% satisfied.

[72 mm] Adapters for every lens filter threads, so you're ready to go no matter which filter you choose. I have an adapter on each of my main lenses. No screwing and unscrewing to use the filters on different lenses.

[72 mm] Ease of use and good color rendition were the main reasons I purchased this system. It is excellent. I need to remove my protective filter on the 10mm and 16mm when stacking 3 Kase filters to prevent vignetting. Very happy with the investment. Now trying to sell my Lee system for a reasonable price.....

[72 mm] I recently purchased the Neewer 5-in-1 Magnetic Filter Kit & have been using them on a Nikon D750 with a 28-300mm lens, so far I love the results! The magnetic ring & filters are so much easier & faster to use than screw on ND filters. Before I was Using a variable ND filter & most of my images turned out unusable due to dark splotches in different parts of the image. I have not had any such problems with these filters. Great product for a decent price.
