This Black Mist filter lowers contrast by suppressing and diffusing highlights and lifting shadows to help balance an image's tonal range, helping to create a more cinematic look. It is also commonly used to soften wrinkles and blemishes, and to create a flattering image of a subject.

This ND8 graduated neutral density filter adds 3-stops of density at the edge of the filter and tapers to clear by the center for photographing scenes with large bright areas, such as a daytime sky. It effectively darkens the sky while leaving the foreground unchanged. The soft-edge transition between the dark and clear portions of the filter is suitable for photographing scenes with an indistinct, non-apparent horizon or line between light and shadow, such as landscapes or nature.

Each of these filters increases the exposure for the entire image area, by adding 3-stops or 6-stops. Increasing neutral density offers finer control in available shutter speeds or aperture settings for both still and video applications. Using a longer shutter speed makes it possible to increase blur to convey a sense of movement, as when shooting moving water. Increased density also makes it possible to shoot using wider lens apertures, helping to isolate a subject from the background and increasing bokeh.

The included magnetic filter ring is made to fit 82mm lens filter threads, allowing the included magnetic filters to be quickly attached and removed without fumbling to screw them into place. it is made of durable, lightweight aluminum alloy. The Neewer magnetic system is compatible with K&F Concept's magnetic series filters.

[82 mm] I really like the fact that Kase answers questions about their products here on B&H. Says a lot about them. I don't believe they were the first company to come out with magnetic filters but man have they done a great job implementing them. I purchased same size as my two main lens and the adapter does a great job staying out of the way. Lens hood and cap both function as normal. Using them in field is game changer for me as it is so much easier to add or remove filters as needed now. Doing so is extremely quick and easy especially if you are in tricky situation like on rocks around waterfall. I'll be getting adapter rings for all my lens. Only slight complaint is the polarizer is not as strong as others but convenience of it far outweighed that issue. ND filters had zero color cast that I could see. Even the 10 stop. I will probably add 15 stop and night filter to my kit which I believe is the biggest compliment I can give them.

[0.615 lb] For anybody looking into this system and having the Nikon Z 14-30 F4, i bought the 82 mm Kase Wolverine magnetic set.

Conclusions:

- i can't see any vignette with just the CPL at 14mm.
If it's there (i was struggling to see any) just a very slight amount of zoom (like 14.2 -14.3 mm ) will make it 100% certain gone.
But, like i said, i can't see any at all.

- CPL + ND stacked, there is a small amount of vignette at 14mm, completely gone at 16mm

- i didn't tried 3 filters stacked as i hardly need to do it, CPL alone or stacked with a 3,6 or 10 stops it's enough.

I assume vignetting will be more this way (3 filters stacked) and you have to zoom in past 16mm (defeating the purpose of a ultra wide angle lens)

- on the 14-30 F4 lens the 82mm adapter ring fits like a glove allowing for the original filter hood to be used. The original Nikon lens cap works, stays put but it's not flushed with the barrel because of the adapter ring.

- on the Nikon Z 24-120 F4 (77mm) lens you can't use the lens hood and original lens cap when the step-up ring (77-82) is screwed on.

- on the Nikon Z 100-400 F4.5-5.6 (77mm) the lens hood it's working perfectly with the step-up ring (77-82) attached. The original lens cap doesn't work. I was surprised to see this: the step up ring sits exactly flushed to the lens barrel (cool)

At this point i don't think going for much more expensive 95 mm set it's worth it. I can live with 16mm when i need to stack 2 filters .

It's better to purchase the integrated 82mm CPL + ND from Kase and then the vignette it's gone at 14mm with the 2-in-1 filter.

Overall, this is the best filter set I tried so far. It's really high quality.

[82 mm] I'll never go back to screw-in filters. I use this with the Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (77 to 82mm) so that I have no risk of vignetting when I stack ND filters.
My only wish the branding on the lens cap wasn't so prominent...

[0.615 lb] This was a simple purchase of the adapter ring so that I don't have to swap it between lenses. Now each lens has a dedicated adapter ring that stays put.

[0.615 lb] Good quality. I haven't noticed any color cast. Was a little concerned about losing filters or cap while hiking. Magnet is strong and so far haven't lost anything. Would buy again.

[82 mm] I recently purchased the Neewer 5-in-1 Magnetic Filter Kit & have been using them on a Nikon D750 with a 28-300mm lens, so far I love the results! The magnetic ring & filters are so much easier & faster to use than screw on ND filters. Before I was Using a variable ND filter & most of my images turned out unusable due to dark splotches in different parts of the image. I have not had any such problems with these filters. Great product for a decent price.

[82 mm] After using screw in filters for years, this new magnetic filter set from Kase is fantastic.
Why? For example... you are standing at Glacier Point in Yosemite and your camera is setup and hanging over the edge and it's windy and cold. After you are all setup, you realize you need your polarizer and neutral density filters. Who wants to fiddle with trying to screw in filters wearing gloves. You're going to miss the shot, or the filter is going to slip and fall into the valley.
Not only did I get this set, but I purchased Kase filter rings for my esoteric (IR) filters to use on this Kase system.
