Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Why is the 4 pack 25% more expensive per bulb than the single bulb? What else do you get?

A: Aside from the 4 Nanlite Pavotube, accessories such as a hard case, battery packs, battery adapters and magnetic mounts are included.

Q: 2. What about banding effects because of the PWM control of LEDs, with Sony cameras? Does this have a true Flash mode with F/stops increments?

A: Being that the Godox M200D Knowled Daylight LED Light is a new release, there have been no reports of banding effects when using this light along with specific cameras such as those from Sony. The flash mode would be considered a special effect, so it will not allow for true f-stop increments as found on a traditional flash/strobe.

Q: 3. I have had too many products where I do not control the battery. Is the battery removable and replaceable?

A: The Godox C5R Knowled RGB Creative LED Light has a built in battery that is not user replaceable.

Q: 4. How many amps does this light draw?

A: The amperage for the power controller on the Godox Knowled M600D would be 15 amps.

Q: 5. Will this light work with the Aperture Light dome II 35" modifier?

A: Yes, the Knowled M600D uses a Bowens S mount, so it can fit with modifiers such as the Aputure Light Dome II.

Q: 6. What remote control is used for Godox M300BI?

A: The Godox Knowled M300BI Bi-Color LED Light works with the Godox Remote Control for SL150II, SL200II, FV150, FV200, LF308, https://bhpho.to/3KvD2P6 .

Q: 7. Is the 15,700 lumens @ 3m with or without the reflector? I'm trying to understand why the output of this light is claimed to be about 3x more than the output of similar lights like the Aputure LS 600X Pro (as compared in the spec sheet).

A: The Godox Knowled M600D Daylight LED Light is 15,700 Lux at 9.8'. Lumens is not rated in distance.

Q: 8. Can you charge the internal battery by the usbc port?

A: Yes, the Godox C7R KNOWLED RGBWW Creative Bulb Light can be charged from the USB-C port.

Q: 9. Is it safe to use the SmallRig VB99 with this?

A: Yes, the SmallRig VB99 Mini V-Mount Battery (99Wh) would be compatible for use with the Godox Knowled M300BI Bi-Color LED Light.

Q: 10. Is the case metal? or plastic?

A: The metal construction of the Godox C5R Knowled RGB Creative LED Light helps with heat dissipation. It does not have a fan.

[2000 to 10,000K] Brighter and cheaper than the b7cs. Pairs super easy with the Godox app which is easy to use and super responsive. Love these things. Excellent color accuracy and brightness. Essential part of my truck.

[Yes] Like staring into the sun! Build quality is superb with the light housing and surprisingly compact when compared to their VL300. Better quality twist lock cabling with a very robust power supply. Outstanding value!

[8x LED Lamp] I loooooooooove this light. This is my main go to light for ANY situation. I used this light to film a three part docu series. I only used it at 20%.

[8x LED Lamp] Great ergonomics, beautiful white light, simple controls on the power-pack and the Godox Light App.

Suitcase is good quality, but my wife is the only one who can repack the kit.

Extremely quiet fans.

Very happy that 600 watts is now more affordable.

Here's a tip: If you have modifiers with other mounts and you plan to convert them for COB lights with Bowens mounts, make sure to choose LOW PROFILE adapters. They are shorter by almost an inch, and they allow the COB to reach in to the modifier and spread light. Standard Bowens adapter rings will create a bit of a tunnel effect, preventing the light from spreading properly, and also in some cases casting shadows from rods within certain softboxes.

One more tip: The Godox Fresnel 10 is very heavy and doesn't produce great barndoor cuts. I went instead with the Nanlite Fresnel 20G, and it is holding up fine to the 600 watts while producing lovely results.

Enjoy!

[9.95 lb] As much as I would've loved to go with the Aputure B7c (for Sidus Link convenience with my other lights) for my battery-powered practical bulb solution I could not bring myself to accept how ugly it looks when installed in a lamp due to its mediocre bulb coverage resulting in a lack of illumination from the bottom half which looks unnatural. Incandescent bulbs are still king but I don't enjoy having to deal with a dimmer, heat, etc.

The Godox C7R is what the Aputure B7c should've been. Fuller bulb coverage so it actually looks pleasing when installed in a lamp (even WITHOUT the cup bouncer). It's also slightly brighter as well. And I'm glad that Godox is offering a non-internal battery version (C10R) as well for even greater brightness.

The only thing I can nitpick is the shape of the housing itself - its rather large shape (particularly the bottom half due to vents) prohibits it from physically screwing into certain lamps that have a narrow pathway to the socket. The B7c shares this same problem as well. The Astera NYX wins in this regard.

Just for context the reason why I'm comparing the two is because for the longest time the Aputure B7c was the only option for battery-powered practical LED bulbs. I'm no brand snob - I own a mixture of Aputure/Amaran, Nanlite, Godox, etc. It just happens to be that Godox did it better here.

But all in all I'm happy with this light.

[E26/E27] This light is a game changer for me. It opens up a lot of possibilities. Very solid construction, no complaints after three shoots.
