The 49mm Neewer Variable ND Filter 49mm 1-9 Stopfrom Neewer Variable ND Filter 49mm 1-9 Stophelps control the amount of light reaching your camera sensor by 1 to 9 stops. Simply screw this ultraslim filter on your camera lens, and then use the built-in putter to rotate the filter to accurately adjust from ND2 to ND400. By reducing exposure brightness, the filter enables you to better control shutter speed for capturing rivers, waterfalls, light trails, and another images requiring increased motion blur. The filter is made with multicoated optical glass and an aluminum frame. The double-sided nano-coating reduces flare and ghosting while protecting the filter against moisture, oil, dust, and scratches. Please note, as the filter features a putter handle, it cannot support a lens hood.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. most my lens are between 52-72mm but my filter is an 82 mm could i buy the revo 77mm so it fits my lenses then get a 77-82 step up to attach the filter to the revoring?

A: Yes, you could use an 82mm filter with the H&Y Filters RevoRing 52-72mm Variable Adapter for 77mm Filters by using a 77-82mm step up ring?

Q: 2. Will these work with a filter holder like a Nisi V6 or V7? That is, can I use the 82mm adapter to put the Nisi holder on a range of lenses?

A: The H&Y Filters RevoRing Variable Adapter Bundle (3 Adapters) are compatible with screw-in filters only.

Q: 3. Does this VND cause the "x"?

A: None that we can see. The ND stopped all the way down looks great with no X over the video.

Q: 4. Does the revoring work with the sigma 24-70 art lens?

A: Yes. The RevoRing 67-82mm variable adapter will work with Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 Art lenses as they are 82mm front diameter lenses. However, according to some tests, there could be vignetting at the wide-end of the lens. Your results may vary.

Q: 5. Are these stackable ? For example can I use a set of these to use 82mm filter on my 46mm lens ?

A: Yes you can stack them and use a 82mm filter on a 46mm lens. The only downside would be that they are bulky.

Q: 6. Anyone tried this 52-72mm Revoring together with the new Sony 16-35mm G PZ lens? Is there any vignetting?

A: The H&Y Filters RevoRing 52-72mm Variable Adapter for 77mm Filters has not been tested with the Sony 16-35mm G PZ lens. Chances are you might get some vignette at 16mm depending on the filter. Best would be use use the next size up on the H&Y that uses 82mm size filters, https://bhpho.to/3SnYDu1

Q: 7. Does this cause vignetting when used on the Sony 16-35mm G PZ lens?

A: The H&Y Filters RevoRing 52-72mm Variable Adapter for 77mm Filters should not cause any vignetting when used with the Sony 16-35mm lens.

Q: 8. Would this adapter fit onto an RF Teleconverter extender? So rf camera - extender - adapter - ef lens? Thanks!

A: The RF teleconverters do not fit into the EF-RF adapters, so that order would not be possible.

Q: 9. I'm unclear. I have lenses 52-72mm. I assume I would need a RevoRing 52-72mm Variable Adapter...plus what exactly? Their kickstarter page is even more confusing.

A: This adapter fits on lenses with a 52-72mm filter thread in order to allow the use of 77mm filters on it.

Q: 10. Does this seriously not come with a cover for when the filter is not in place? That would be Canon's ultra-stingy style.

A: You can get Canon Drop-In Clear Filter A for when you don't wont to use a ND filter https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1434115-REG/canon_3444c001_drop_in_clear_filter_a.html

[52 mm] If your purchasing a 60mm ND filter, it's likely to be paired with a Leica Noctilux. When I purchased my Noctilux, I picked up the Leica ND filter at the same time. I quickly found that if I shoot using a fixed Kelvin white balance setting then adding the Leica ND filter creates a noticeable blue shift. Follow-up investigations confirmed that others report the same effect. I returned the filter and searched for a better option. As I also use this filter in connection with flash work, 4 stops extends the flash sync speed to a broader set of exposure conditions as compared to other competitive 3 stop filters. Testing the Heliopan in the same way as the Leica filter showed little or no shift in color cast. Lastly, I'm also quite pleased with the images that I'm now producing.

[Glass] A very well constructed, solid build ND filter. Optics are great and services my wide variety of digital and film (medium and large format) extremely well. The biggest disappointment is with B&H and their inability to estimate delivery times. Most 95mm filters in this brand seem to be special order, most four to six weeks for delivery, the one I ordered (as well as a few others) where two to four weeks estimated delivery. The U.S. corporate office for Heliopan estimates eight weeks for there special orders. Delivery was finally twelve weeks. I do understand an estimate is not a guarantee however it should be relatively close unlike what appears to be B&Hs ability.

[Glass] I'm no filter snob, but this seems like an outstanding build quality to me, the case they send for it is a wonderful touch as well. Feels nice, looks nice, does what its supposed to do, great case. What's not to love K&F makes good, reasonably priced products; and I've never had an issue with anything purchased from them, this is not the exception.
