The TASCAM 128GB UHS-I SDXC Memory Cardfrom TASCAM 128GB UHS-I SDXC Memory Cardfeatures a storage capacity of 128GB, supports maximum read speeds of 95 MB/s, and maximum write speeds of 85 MB/s. This card has also been designed with the V30 Video Speed Class rating, which guarantees minimum write speeds of at least 30 MB/s. All of this allows users to capture 4K and Full HD video, as well as raw photos and still image bursts.

Aside from support for UHS-I, V30, and U3, TASCAM also built this card with support for the Application Performance Class 2 (A2) spec, which includes optimizations to give Android users an improved mobile experience, delivering faster mobile app performance. The A2 spec allows the card to manage random read input-output access per second (IOPS) operations so it can quickly open apps and process accompanying tasks, such as audio, graphics, saved profiles, and in-app permissions.

To help increase reliability, this card uses media that is resistant to repeated random access, which helps ensure the card's performance will not decrease, even after repeated write access. Further durability is provided by an operating temperature rating of -13 to 185°F.

  • Verified compatibility with TASCAM products
  • Adaptable with other SDXC compatible devices
  • Highly stable operation achieved by the selection of media with a control IC resistant to random access
  • Checked and preformatted by TASCAM before shipment
  • Stable operation is achieved regardless of production size by using fixed components in cooperation with media manufacturers

Media devices that use flash memory, such as SD cards, tend to decrease in write speed (file fragmentation) with repeated use/writing. This decrease can have a negative impact during recording. To ensure high-stability operation, TASCAM has conducted in-house original media evaluations and selected media which is IC resistant to repeated random access. This rigorous testing helps ensure performance that will not decrease in speed, even after repeated writing access. In addition, stable operation can be ensured with most non-TASCAM products that support the SDXC standard.

The TSQD-128A has been evaluated in combination with TASCAM products. To ensure quality control, every card is checked and pre-formatted by TASCAM before shipment to ensure it is operational, making it ready for use immediately.

TASCAM worked in cooperation with the media manufacturer to ensure that only fixed components (control ICs, memory devices, etc.) verified to work with TASCAM products are implemented into the SD cards. By specifying all components, there is less chance for incompatibility due to production reasons, and we can assure high stability for all TASCAM products.

    The TSQD-128A supports UHS-I and achieves a high-speed performance with a maximum transfer rate of 95 MB/sec (read) and 85 MB/sec (write).

The TSQD-128A supports UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) and Video Speed Class V30 (V30).

Q: 1. Is this card compatible with the Panasonic GH5's 400Mbps All-Intra bitrate?

A: As the Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera is compatible for use with UHS-II memory cards, yes, the Lexar 128GB Professional 1667x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card, B&H # LELSD1281667, would be fully compatible for use with the Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera and is faster than the camera's 400 Mbps data transfer speed rate.

Q: 6. Can this card be used in Sony A6300 to capture 4K video and high quality JPG and Raw?

    A: Yes.

Q: 8. Has any one tried this on the Canon C70 while shooting 4K XF-AVC ? I understand you need a minimum of 300mbps write speed but the only card that dose that right now is Sony's G Tough series at 299mbps and they are impossible to get a hold of.

A: Yes, the Hoodman 128GB Steel 2000x SDXC UHS-II Memory Card would be compatible for use with the Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera for capturing XF-AVC 4:2:2 10-Bit 4K video.

Q: 9. will this card work in a Sony 4K Ax 100 camcorder?

A: The Sony FDR-AX100 4K Ultra HD Camcorder does not have the second row of pins internally needed for the extra throughput speed offered by the Lexar 128GB Professional 1667x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card, and does not offer UHS-II support. While you may use the Lexar 128GB Professional 1667x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card inside the Sony FDR-AX100 4K Ultra HD Camcorder, do note that you may actually get slower transfer speeds than if you used a standard UHS-I card in the camera. As such, while the above card may be used in the camera, I would instead personally recommend the Lexar 128GB Professional 667x UHS-I SDXC Memory Card, B&H # LELSD128B667, for your usage needs.

Q: 10. Will this work with the Canon 5D Mark IV ?

A: While the 5D Mark IV has a UHS-I type card slot which can still work with this card, there won't be any added speed from this card.

[0.075 lb] When shooting in high speed continuous mode, (and full frame RAW) the card 'keeps up' and doesn't drop any of the 'clicks'.

[1] I needed a faster card for this Canon Eos R.  The Hoodman was recommended by our local camera shop but they did not sell them at that time. I went to my favorite on line store;B&H. They were sold out and I had to wait for the re order. I am so happy I did. Weather in Hawaii can be hot and damp. I needed a card that can handle the climate. Hoodman is perfect.

[UHS-I] Works perfectly with my Hoodman SDXC SxS Adapter for PMW350 and other older Sony XDCam cameras. Much faster transfer speeds and twice the storage than the original 32GB SDHC cards that were originally available. Have used Hoodman STEEL cards for 10 years with no problems.

[UHS-I] I have used other SD Cards before but when I am doing a professional shoot I rather have Sandisk. I have never had a sandisk card fail and I know this brand holds up for a long time.

[V30] I never had a Sandisk card go bad. I usually replace my old cards because of getting lost or upgrading due to a faster larger file camera.

[1] I have been using Delkin UHS-1 cards in my Nikon D7000 for years same goes for the Delkin UHS II in my Nikon D500, the most important thing is only buy your cards from a reputable camera store like B&H... Why, the big on-line outlet like say Amazon by no fault of their own has seller selling counterfeit cards and you won't know till after it's too late... Shoot lots of important photos and when you go to download the photos and nothing is there... Only buy your memory cards from a real Camera Store like B&H , they buy right from the manufacturer.
