Add accessories onto the top of your Sony FX6 using this space gray Kondor Blue 15mm NATO Rail for Sony FX6 Cagefrom Kondor Blue. The 15mm accessory NATO rail is a component of the modular Kondor Blue Camera Cage for Sony FX6 and is designed as a thin side rail that hangs on the side of your camera from the right top plate. It is compatible with the Right Top plate and the AKA Rod Clamp accessory, which are part of the cage system.

The rail is easily mounted using a standard 15mm rod clamp such as the AKS rod clamp. It offers a NATO rail, multiple 3/8"-16 ARRI-style anti-twist accessory mounts, and 1/4"-20 accessory threads, and it also features a handy bubble level on top.

Q: 10. I was wanting to know what size this is: the bottom of your cage assembly that fits into your base plate. I can't upload the photo, but it is photo #5 in the pictures. Is it a standard (arca-swiss, etc) of any kind?

A: The bottom of the SHAPE Camera Cage for Sony FX6 has a number of 1/4 20 and 3/8 female screw attachment holes. It's designed so that you can attach the plate style you work with to the bottom of the cage.

[Gray] I've used two other cages on a C70 on two ends of the budget spectrum - a Bright Tangerine half cage setup ($1,000+) and a Tilta full cage setup ($100), both great for different reasons. I decided I needed a minimalist setup that kept the weight down to a bare minimum. I was nervous about leaving a $5,000 investment unprotected, but eventually dove in and bought this skeletal cage. I love it. There's not much to say about the baseplate, because there's not much to it either. It offers mounting points on three sides and has an HDMI bracket to protect your HDMI from being twisted or bent. It isn't a locking HDMI protector, keep that in mind. In my opinion, this is a more elegant solution. Fewer moving parts, and it does it's job. It's not there to prevent an HDMI from getting pulled out, it's there to prevent bending or twisting damage to your HDMI cable and the C70's HDMI port. The side plate was a question mark for me, and still is to a degree. I removed my C70's hand strap a while back since the only thing it was good at was being a sweat collector. I installed the side plate and... I kinda like it? I don't see myself attaching much to it, but it's attractive, it'll be functional if the need ever arises, and it's surprisingly comfortable. The top plate is fantastic. Since it attaches to both the top shoe and the sensor plane marker mounting points, and feels nice and secure. It offers the combination of mounting points I need for my setup. I opted for the cage-only bundle since I already own the awesome Kondor Blue Talon handle that I love. 5

[Gray] Some products are more expensive for a reason. This Kondor Blue adapter works, it's a silver bullet for me. Other Jerry-Rigged solutions ALMOST worked, but ultimately didn't. 5

[Gray] I have a Tilta BS1H cage with one big flaw: no NATO rail on the top. Just a cold shoe. I've been searching for a solution, and the reviews under this bit of kit really made me wary. However, I'm not sure what their problem was. I tried it with a Tilta Xeno NATO handle, and it worked perfectly. It also comes with a spring for the cold shoe to NATO screw. Very nice build, good finish, works as intended, and has some safety pins so you don't destroy everything if you accidentally unlatch your top handle. Might be a little pricey for a tiny piece of metal, but nothing else does the job as elegantly. 5
