Mount a small action camera or accessory onto a surface, rod, or pipe with this SmallRig Super Clamp 360° Ball Head Mount for Action Camerasfrom SmallRig. This mount features a crab-style clamp, a ball head, and a GoPro-style action camera mount. The durable aluminum and stainless steel clamp can support an accessory such as a light, monitor, or wireless gear weighing up to 7.7 lb using its multiple 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16, and 3/8"-16 anti-twist threads.

The ball head features a 1/4"-20 thread to mount onto the clamp and a 1/4"-20 screw to mount the GoPro-style 3-prong mount. The clamp can fit around a surface, rod, pipe, stand, or stick with a thickness or diameter of 0.5 to 2.6", and it secures using a large thumb lever. The inside of the clamp is lined with silicone for a solid grip.

A: The clamp can be removed by the treaded stud. However it looks to me like the plate is designed to fit very nicely on this ball joint. Not sure that another plate would fit as nicely.

A: About 2-3/16 diameter (2.188in or 55.6mm) using both calipers and a ruler.

Q: 10. How do I adjust the friction and pan? The knobs (including head locking) are extremely tight.

A: The ball operates with the locking knob and friction-control/tension knob, while the pan-axis uses the separate pan-locking knob. Typically, it operates without much effort. [Black] I have tried many. This one just plain works and works very well. I use a Sony ZV-1 as my Zoom camera and this mount supports it on my Macbook pro with no issues. You cannot go wrong with this suction mount. 5

[0.49 lb] This clamp fastens tightly to the mic stand and doesn't move. The attachment locking nut keeps whatever is attached to the clamp firmly secure. Superior design over the one I replaced it with. Well worth the money. 5

[Flat, Round] This comes in very handy when you have nothing other than that flat service to work with. If the supporting surface is moving, such as is the case with a boat or car, you need to be careful not to overweight. But for stationary objects, you can be a bit more liberal with weight. 5

[Jaw] I really like the size and the stability when I use with my lume cube mini. Sometimes with a curved edge computer you have to place it on the flat part for it to stick efficiently and I have been able to make it work every time. I would buy this again. 5
