The PortaBrace Audio Organizer Case for Sound Devices 664from PortaBrace Audio Organizer Case for Sound Devices 664is designed to store and transport your Sound Devices 664 Field Mixer and CL-6 Input Expander alongside your wireless mics, transmitters, receivers, cables, and accessories. It is constructed of 1000-denier Cordura nylon with a rigid plastic frame. Its main section and pocket interior are padded to offer protection.

The side panels zip off for cable access, and the case can be reversed for a variety of positioning options. Each side of the case has a pocket for your wireless transmitters and receivers, and an additional pocket for a mic power supply. Its main outside pocket is sewn in to prevent sagging. A suede shoulder strap is included.

A: Yes, the Porta Brace AO-1XB is recommended for use with the Zoom F8n. The F8 and F8n are the same size -- dimensions are exactly the same. The F8n is the updated model.

[Black] I'm a DP so audio is not my primary line of work but I do need to keep audio in mind for certain projects. This bag helps me keep everything wired so I can just turn on the power and go. All the zippers and pockets make it incredibly customizable and lets me move things around without a problem. Wires can be hidden very well and construction quality is top notch. Its a great bag in general, whether you carry a lot of gear with you or just the essentials. 5

[Black] Perfect for my portable audio kit! Excellent design and extremely well made. My kit primarily consists of several Audio Technica System 10 receivers, a Zoom F8 recorder, a Sound Devices MixPre although, since buying the Zoom F8 the MixPre is used mostly for locating problems, and a 72WH Switronix (slimline) battery to power everything in use in the bag. No, the bag isn't big enough for long shotgun mics or blimps, but if it were that big I wouldn't have ordered it anyway. It does have retaining loops for the boom pole. I wholeheartedly recommend this bag, together with the optional harness if you expect to use it for lengthy periods. 5

[Black] There are a few solid bag options out there for the 664, but this one is pretty spectacular. Lots of clever cable routing, modular enough for different load-outs. Fully loaded with; central power, wireless boom, 5 lavs, camera hops & separate IFBs for video village and boom, the only cable that ever leaves the bag is my headphone lead. No more rats nest of cables every time I move one thing around in a rush. I've taken to keeping it fully loaded in a pelican case, when I arrive on set, I'm ready to go. No more waiting on sound... Mine's in its 4th year of service and still going strong. Pairs nicely with the Versa-Flex HS1N harness for those longer days on the run, or set it up sideways on a few pelican cases and kick back for talking head interviews. This thing feels like a sound cart with a shoulder strap. 5

[5.4 lb] I can easily fit my Mixpre-6 with the NPF battery plate, a large battery and 2x lav receivers with room to spare. Its well designed and thought out with good access where you want it. 5
