The Auray WCF-UB440 Foam Windscreen for Condenser Micsis made from specialty acoustic foam designed to reduce broadband wind noise with minimal high-frequency loss. The density of the foam is optimized to help protect the microphone element from vocal plosives and wind pressure without dramatically muffling the sound.

This windscreen is effective indoors for protection against drafts caused by air conditioners and can be used in calm to light outdoor breeze conditions (0 to 7 mph). It also reduces vocal plosives in close microphone placement situations. Users can generally expect a 4 to 8 dB reduction in wind noise, with very slight dampening of high frequencies. For most applications, the very slight high-frequency dampening is a worthwhile exchange for the notable wind noise reduction.

The WCF-UB440's foam is hypoallergenic and washable and helps prevent moisture and dirt from damaging your microphone. The windscreen has a height of 3.5" and is designed to fit over the Senal UB-440 as well as mics from AKG, Shure, Neumann, Mi-Tek, MXL, Behringer, SE Electronic, Rode, and most other large diaphragm condensers with a grille diameter larger than 2".

[Foam] I needed something inexpensive to put on an old Superlux mic I found in a closet. I use this mic for podcasting interviews and wanted a pop filter that was low profile. This was inexpensive and fit the mic perfectly. 5

[Foam] I have an older Audio Technica 822 stereo microphone. The foam windscreen that came with it when I bought it about a decade ago has finally dry rotted and torn to the point that foam pieces were coming off of it and dirtying up my audio bag. I took a chance on this Auray windscreen since it it not referenced on B&H website to my now discontinued AT stereo mic. However, it looked like it might fit based on the picture on B&H website. I am now very happy to report that this windscreen is a perfect fit, wide enough for the 822 without fitting to tight. I recommend that B&H add this windscreen as a replacement for the AT822 stereo mic for those folks like me that want to keep that microphone in their arsenal. I could not be happier and the price was great. 5

[Foam] Windscreen Diaphragms are the best investment for any microphone, especially voice overwork. They take a little away from the highs, but what they give back is time over setting up the EQ and mixer settings. Saliva slapping away while you set the perfect track is no longer an issue. Ordered more after trying this out and should have purchased with the Mic in the first place! 5

[0.04 lb] The Electro-Voice foam screen is too large when using the RE20 on a shock mount. This is a shorter windscreen that does the trick. 5

[5 x 2.85 x 2.8"] This is the only windscreen I could find for the very large G Track Pro as the manufacture dont make a windscreen for this Microphone, still there is a gap at the bottom so I filled the gap with rubber bands and layered the outside with a nice leather band. The condenser mics inside the screen are near the top of the mic anyway so the added decoration gives it a nice appeal and I get the outstanding performance of the microphone with this neat and nifty foam windscreen. Its a thick and high quality foam windscreen and Ive noticed all of my background noise is gone so it works well. Now I got the microphone working the way I wanted it to so I bought another one just in case they are no longer available in the future. 5
