Three plates—a top plate and two side plates—make up the camera cage for your KOMODO. Multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with anti-twist pins support articulating arms, cable clamps, and other accessory mounting. NATO rails on the top and side plates support the integration of the included handles. Remove the top plate for compatibility with the Outrigger handle or DSMC3 RED Touch 7" monitor.

This cheese plate-style top handle features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with anti-twist pins, along with a built-in Allen key to secure accessories. A cold shoe mount at the front of the handle can support an external monitor for improved visibility when shooting low-angle footage. It secures to the cage's top plate via NATO clamp and can be adjusted forwards and backwards for optimal positioning.

The lens mount adapter support attaches to the camera just below your lens mount and features points for directly securing lens mount adapters. This adds additional stability while protecting the integrity of the mount. The adapter is compatible with the Metabones PL to RF T Cine Speed Booster Ultra 0.71x and the Metabones EF to RF T Cine Speed Booster Ultra 0.71x.

This monitor mount secures to the front of the top handle with a built-in ARRI anti-twist 3/8"-16 screw. Mount compatible monitors via its 1/4"-20 screw. The mount can tilt 180° and pan 360°, so you can easily manipulate your viewing angle.

This handle attaches to the side of your rig via NATO clamp and can be rotated 360° for maximum comfort using its one-button, step-less adjustment.

Integrate 15mm dual-rod clamps into your rig configuration for rod-compatible accessories like follow focus systems. The baseplate itself features a Manfrotto 501 plate on one side and an ARRI dovetail plate on the other for compatibility with various tripod systems.

[2x Cold Shoe] This is a required piece if you will be pulling focus. All of these lens adapters torque and move the lens around. This minimizes if not eliminates that problem. Great investment! 5

[Aluminum, Steel] I tried 2 other cages made by major name brands and the tilta ended up being the all around better option. Not only was it cheaper then the other two, it also had way more to offer. The packaging presentation is intentional, creative and impressive. The cage is worth every penny. The folding top handle comes in handy when operating the menu on your komodo. I only have two reservations: The weight - it ends up weighing about 15lbs once you get a v-mount, monitor and transmitter on it. Not a big deal when you are operating on sticks or have massive biceps. Left Handle - the handle is comfy and feels great. I just wish it came with a right sided one instead of left so I can pull focus with my left hand instead of right. 100% go with this kit. Like I said before, worth every penny. 5

[2.87 lb] I bought this to use on my Komodo with the Metabones Cine Speedbooster (EF to RF), and it has a slight gap between this and the lens support on the speedbooster. I remedied this by sticking two very small washers in the gap (one on each side so four total) and they fit very snugley which helps take up the gap and makes this support very sturdy. Just something to note if you plan to buy it, you will need to fill the gap with something. Would not recommend using it without something to support, otherwise your lens mount could get damaged over time. 5

[2x Cold Shoe] Great cage for the Komodo. I needed a cage that would work easily with the expansion module attached. The bottom of this cage is it’s own separate piece and easy to remove. It works well with the expansion module. Plenty of 1/4 20’s all around to mount accessories to. Two thumbs up... 5

[Cage] This is perfect if you don't want to add a full cage to your Komodo. WIth the combination of 1/4, 3/8, and a few Arri pin locking mounts, there's plenty of options for mounting monitors, handle, mic, etc. 5

[Cage] After having seen the top rail of the SmallRig Komodo cage consistently fail and snap, design quality, affordability and flexibility were front of mind for me making this purchase. 8sinn hasn't disappointed. It's basically the Timmy ribs side handles but with full body support. A great feature of this cage is the inclusion of a support foot, so that lens mount adapters such as the Kippertie Revolva and Metabones can be attached securely without lens wiggle. An absolute must. The 8Sinn cage (without the top rail) is also compatible with the outrigger handle, which is what decided it for me. The construction quality feels rock solid and frankly more than I was expecting. I've been really impressed. I owned a Tilta cage for a BMPCC6K previously and the construction quality wasn't even close to this cage. Whatever material Tilta cages use seem to have more inherit flexibility, almost like you can squeeze them if you applied enough pressure, where as the 8Sinn straps to the Komodo and doesn't let go. One downside is that my 8Sinn package didn't arrive with a correctly sized hex key for one of the screws, so make sure when assembling you have a set on hand. If I was to wish for anything it would be for more mounting options away from the side of the camera and further towards the rear of the rig, such as where the logo sits. Ultimately you still might find yourself needing to run a cheese plate as you rig out your camera but as a building block this is a great start. 5

[2.87 lb] The 8Sinn cage is better than the smallrig cage because it is slimmer and allows you to use the cage with Manfrotto fluid heads. 5
