Capable of controlling up to five PTZ cameras while maintaining a compact form factor, the JVC RM-LP5G Compact Joystick PTZ Controllerfeatures RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 serial control as well as a IP LAN networked connection for the remote control of your PTZ ecosystem. One large LED display allows you to see your current status information, settings, communication protocol, and other real-time updates of your connectivity. Three smaller LED displays show the parameter values of your camera exposure knobs.

Other camera control functions include focus, gain, and PTZ movements using the 2-axis joystick and zoom bridge key. You can toggle between AE and WB modes to change the automatic exposure or white balance modes of your camera. Custom function keys allow you to assign specific commands and create a controller that best suits your production's needs.

Q: 2. Is the iris control smooth, or is it a series of click presets?

A: The smoothness of the Iris should depend on the camera you are using with this unit and how it is set up. However this unit should allow you to go from f-stop to f-stop just as you would with any camera.

A: No, the Canon RC-IP100 joystick We only recommend using Panasonic's joysticks with their camera models. A: We would be of the opinion that no, it would not be able to operate other brands of PTZ cameras. If you have a Panasonic AW-EU70 we would suggest using the Panasonic Remote Camera Controller B&H # PAAWRP50.

Q: 6. Will this control more than one camera at a time?

A: This can control multiple cameras but they will have to be controlled individually

A: No it will not.

Q: 8. is this the same as the jvc remote? are they cross compatible? are they made by the same mnufacturer

A: No can be cross compatible. The unit is designed and made for the Canon CR-N300 and CR-N500 PTZ cameras. The unit can also be driven via RS-422 which allows you to control and configure up to 100 cameras and it can create and store up to 100 presets.

[25] Like other reviewers, we are using this to control our streaming camera in our sanctuary. Hook up is intuitive and so is the operation. I'm not one to read manuals, and since we only have one camera it only took about 3 minutes to set up. The only complaint I have is that I wish that there was a little more fine tuning in the joystick. Yes it is proportional, and maybe it is our camera but the difference between panning slowly and make your head spin is pretty fine. All in all, I would recommend. 5

[12 VDC at 0.3 A] I got this controller to go with my AViPAS cameras at my church. We run 3 cameras with this controller and it works great. We programed the preset positions into the controller and it works best with that. 5
