The roll top expands to add an additional capacity of 7L if you need it. The top also has a YKK SplashGuard zipper for quick and easy access to your gear.

The X30 has three height options with approximately 2.7" of vertical adjustment. The pack adjusts to provide a custom fit for short, medium and tall torso heights.

[Yes] Just returned from 1st trip with this bag. Completed 5+ mile hike at the Grand Canyon with fully loaded pack. More comfortable than I ever dreamed. I am 5'2 and 115 lbs and pushing 70 years old. With all of the available adjustments, it was easy to get this bag to fit my frame and not be cumbersome. [Yes] This is a very well designed adventure backpack loaded with features that is very comfortable!! Only loaded to about 20 lbs. so far. Really like that this can be expanded to add more gear. The removable hip belt is also another great feature. Shimoda did an excellent job with this backpack! 5

[5.88 lb] I've owned a few over the years and tended to buy cheaper backpacks. I decided to finally pay for a good one. It's exactly as advertised. Best one I've ever used. I even lost the hip belt and they sent me a new one free of charge. They got my business for life now. 5

[Army Green] I’m absolutely in love with this backpack! I recently went on a photography workshop and everyone was impressed with my bag. I was having an issue when hiking to either wear a camera backpack or my hiking backpack. This bag is a wonderful combination. I have space for my hiking gear, a water bladder, and my camera gear. The quality and forethought that went into this bag is amazing. I’m still finding little compartments to use. Definitely a must for someone who loves the adventure of hiking and photography. 5

[Universal] First of all, I love the sleek design and the teal color looks great. I wasn’t sure I’d looked the roll to, but I can easily fit so many extra hiking necessities or snacks when I’m photographing tournaments. The interior fits my camera gear perfectly, even my 70-200mm. [Yes] I have the FStop Tilopa and Anja. I wanted to try the X50 because of the pockets, side access and roll top plus every review said comfort. I load my packs and at 31 pounds it was fine with std hip and shoulder pads. After 5 hours it was not as fine. I wanted to add the HD belt and plus backpack straps and wow what a difference. Padding is double the tilopa and it feels so nice. Worth the money if packing heavier gear. I normally add a second tripod and snow shoes so loving that I got these. I also like the HD pockets and the ability to velcro the belt together a little larger so the pockets are at my sides and the padding sticks better to my hips. I also use the spider pro clip Allen wrenched on to the bottom pad behind the pocket on the waist belt. Now hiking longer I can have my 200-600 in that spider clip and hands are free at my sides. Perfect setup. The roll top also allows more room to put jackets and clothing than the tilopa. My tilopa will be used with two cubes for astro hatchback with video on top and astro camera on bottom. 5

[Army Green] I literally have a dozen camera packs for different types of shoots but none of them was a good fit for my Canon R5 and accessories. I purchased the Shimoda V2 25 backpack and as soon as I unboxed it I knew it was a perfect fit. Not only is it a great fit, I've had many compliments on how nice the backpack looks! [5.88 lb] I just got home from a 2 week trip to Chamonix, France where this backpack served as my carry on luggage, hiking backpack, and day pack. It's been everywhere between sea level and about 12,000 feet in elevation, dragged across airports, dragged across rocks, subject to rain, heat, and wind - and snow snowballs - and it looks as good as the day I took it out of the box! Things I especially love: - Fits my 5'2 female self. I've been photographing for 20+ years and this is truly the first bag I've ever found that feels like it wasn't designed for a 6' tall dude. - Made for adventure. I'll be able to use this on backcountry ski adventures (it even has a helmet, ski, and snowboard carry system!!!) and will absolutely continue to use it for hiking. It's reinforced with all the right materials in all the right places. - Incredibly well thought out functionality and design. Super easy to get to my camera gear, but keep it safe and hard for any less-than-honest passerby's to get at. Also one of the front chest pouches can fit a passport AND an iPhone 13/14.
