Render high-resolution textures up to 60% faster, load assets in seconds and get up to 99% less CPU utilization to free up your system for multitasking with Microsoft DirectStorage and GPU decompression.

Working in close collaboration with controller, CPU, and motherboard vendors, Crucial, whose parent company, Micron, innovated the 232-layer TLC NAND inside the T700 PCIe Gen 5.0 SSD.

Store more games, UHD/8K+ media, apps, files, and more with 2TB of storage capacity.

This SSD comes with an aluminum and nickel-plated copper heatsink, which was custom designed to help you maximize performance in game and while 3D rendering while minimizing throttle - without the noise or failure risk of integrated fans or liquid cooling.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there any enclosure that could actually give you the transfer speeds this is capable of?

A: At the moment, the fastest external enclosures use a Thunderbolt 3 connection, which has a max bandwidth of 5 GB/s, while the Crucial T700 4TB PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 Internal SSD with Heatsink has max read and write speeds of 12.4 GB/s and 11.8 GB/s, respectively.

Q: 2. Is this single or double sided?

A: The manufacturer does not specify if the Crucial T700 2TB PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 Internal SSD BH #CR2000T7SSD3 is single or double sided.

Q: 3. Does it comes with international warranty?

A: You would need to purchase the 2 or 3 year Allstate Protection Plan which would provide worldwide coverage.

Q: 4. Will Windows 11 automatically do trim, etc., or must I use manufacturer's software?

A: The Crucial T700 2TB PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 Internal SSD, B&H # CR2000T7SSD3, TRIM commands will be handled by Windows 11 automatically.

Q: 6. Is it compatible with the iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019)?

A: No, unfortunately the Samsung 2TB 980 PRO PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 Internal SSD with Heatsink would not be compatible with the iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019). You would require a drive like the OWC Aura Pro X2 due to the type of connection used on the iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019).

[2 TB] Very fast and I believe this is among the fastest PCIe 4 SSDs as of early 2024. I ordered the one without factory heat sink as the heat sink on my motherboard does the cooling fairly well. Hope to see its 4TB version soon and hope it will be a single side design.

[2 TB] upgraded my MB to an Asus Prime B760M-A and it accommodates 2 M.2 drives. the speed between those 2 is worth it to me. and it's Crucial, how bad can it be? and for a seldom do it yourselfer, start with crucial site once you know your MB to get the memory and storage guaranteed to fit/be compatible.

[0.2 lb] I bought this to replace my Gigabyte Laptop’s main boot drive, it reads and writes about 7-800mbps faster, from 6200 on the original to now 7000 on this drive. Highly recommend, I have purchased two external crucial SSD drives in the past and they too are fast and also reliable.

[0.2 lb] Purchased looking for to when Windows 11 becomes required. New motherboard, new CPU, and upgrade in storage. This is my new Drive C replacing an older 1TB third gen M.2. Loads quicker even with twice the capacity. Loads Lightroom and 20,000+ images much faster.

[0.2 lb] Blazing fast speeds. Games like Tarkov; i load in under 2 minutes versus the 4 plus minutes from before. This is great for me since who wants to sit and wait staring at a load screen. Moving videos /files to and from the M.2s in my rig is super quick. Very noticeable to me, as I just upgraded from my 6 year old PC. Bought an ASRock Heatsink with an integrated fan. I said why not, as I saw the T705 can get extremely hot under long loads.

[1200 TB] Added this to my Gigabyte A5 X1 which came with a 512GB SSD. It was not big enough alone. I threw this into the secondary slot, cloned the system drive over to the new one and booted from it. No problems at all. System is purring. I'm ready to wipe the original system drive so I can now use it as secondary storage.
Great purchase for me, could be for you as well.

[Yes] Very pleased with this purchase. New PC build coming from a Samsung SSD. Have been using for just over a month now and have zero complaints. Quick startup/load times. Only thing holding back my PC now is internet download speeds! Purchased based on reviews/rankings from Tom's Hardware, which I highly recommend you check out before purchasing any PC component. It'll save you from heartache and overpaying for an inferior item! Will purchase the PCIe 5.0 version once prices come down.

[Yes] First of all I was under impression of how thoroughly this SSD was packed by B&H in several protective layers for its safe transportation.

Installation on motherboard was simple and easy. For Windows 10/11 it doesn't need any special driver. I have installed Crucial Storage Executive software for future firmware updates and diagnostics.

Benchmarks demonstrated very high transfer speeds and IOPS count, and stress tests showed very decent temperature with native motherboard's Shield Frozr heatsink, not more than 49C under heavy load.

Overall I'm very satisfied with purchase of this SSD for its price/quality ratio.

P.S. I hope Crucial will unveil 4TB model of T500 in this 2024 year.
