A: No, when put over the largest leg of a c-stand it touches the ground, which reduces it's usefulness. It works, but as you know, if they hangs instead of sit on the ground, sand bags are more effective. As an alternative, I wrap it around the pole so that it effectively is stretching across two of the legs which works well (and has ground clearance). If you want to hang them on a single leg go with the 15s and double up.
