The 4K HDMI Extender over Cat 6 - Alfatron 18 Gb/sis a point-to-point extender set for HDMI 2.0 and IR signals; the set supports 4K / UHD video 60 Hz with 4:4:4 Chroma sampling as well as HDMI data rates up to 18 Gb/s, and is HDCP 2.2 compliant. It provides HDMI transmission up to 230' for 4K60 Hz 4:4: 4 or 1080p, over single CAT6 cable. It supports video resolution downscaling, and the 4K input can be automatically downscaled to 1080p output for compatibility with 1080p display.

A: According to the manual, there is no mention of dual operation being impossible at the same time when using the Vanco Handheld 4K HDMI Tester.

A: No. the Translite Global TL-HS14 4K30 HDMI Splitter with Extender does not support POC power of the included Receivers (RX). Each RX is powered by an AC power supply. Is the device capable of simultaneously passing thru the unmodified audio and video from the 4K Apple TV to the Samsung TV and extracting the L/R audio to amp powered speakers?

A: Yes, the embedded audio on the HDMI signal will stay on the HDMI signal while sending out the audio signal as well for a receiver.

Q: 6. What is CEC bypass? I'm looking for a device that will not pass through CEC commands but will allow ARC audio via HDMI. How is CEC bypass enabled on this device?

A: CEC stands for Consumer Electronics Control. This is a control function that lets one A/V component control another if they are connected via HDMI cables.

Q: 7. Is the output on this device ARC compatible? I have other inputs plugged into my tv, and want to make sure that audio will also be extracted.

A: This extractor does not have ARC.

Q: 8. Will this accept video output from a video camera (C200 specifically)?

A: The Comprehensive 4K HDMI Audio Extractor is designed to take a 4K signal from devices that can produce that signal, though it has not been tested with cameras. Technically, the Canon EOS C200 Cinema Camera (EF-Mount), B&H # CAC200EF, should be supported but has not been tested.

Q: 9. Could this be charged from the USB port of a camcorder (Sony AX700)?

A: No, the DVDO Air 2K 1080p/60 HDMI Wireless Extender Kit (30'+) cannot be powered from the USB port on the Sony FDR-AX700 4K Camcorder.

Q: 10. Can you mount this unit on top of a flat panel display? Is there a way to wall mount it?

A: As others said, You can place it on top of a TV without an issue. However, it does not have a wall mount option.

[1x RJ45] Works well to let me move the computer for the projector to the rear console area. Easy setup and tear down with installed cat 6 cable 5

[1x RJ45] I often like to show family members videos and pictures of our vacation and the kids from the computer on the TV. We also like to watch a lot of streamed content as well. My TV is not a smart TV so I can't stream content to it from my computer. I often have to copy everything to a USB stick and plug that into my TV. This eliminates that by being able to hook my computer from across the room to my TV as a monitor and watch media content on my TV from my computer without having to move it. Picture is clear without any degradation. The two units are small enough to tuck away out of sight. Did what I needed it to do. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. 5

[Passthrough] The StarTech device worked great from the time we plugged it in. Since it only needs power at one end (and either end works), it was easy to install and is flexible. Liked it so much that we are replacing another extender of a different brand. 5

[0 ms] We tested the device over 100’ of cable with great results. The picture quality appears to be flawless and the fact that it only requires power on one end is definitely plus. Highly recommended! The small converters on each end are easy to hide and it was a simple install. 5

[Cat 6] Utilized the extenders for a remote AV rack to Sony projector. The install was fast, simple and they linked right up and were working immediately. I can't review longevity yet, but so far I am satisfied! 5
