The Canon DR-M140II Office Document Scannerfrom Canon DR-M140II Office Document Scannerfeatures a fast 40 ppm simplex scan speed and up to 600 dpi resolution. The scanner is ideal for batch scanning large documents thanks to its ADF which allows for scanning 80 pages at a time. Additionally, the DR-M140II includes automatic duplex scanning so scanning a two-sided document doesn't require converting it to a one sided document before scanning.

A: As in most document scanners, this is TWAIN and ISIS compliant.TWAIN is more common and is usually the only driver provided with consumer scanner models. ISIS is the driver standard developed by Pixel Translations. ISIS provides a more standardized interface for high-speed scanners, and is often required to scan at the scanners rated speed. Neither of these work with TAM and will not read bar codes.

[Windows ] The simplicity of scanning documents is exceptional. Scanning from the scanner to my desktop was simple and surprisingly easy. Other than having to Re-Name the documents after scanning, I have no issues. 5

[Yes] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This scanner is super compact but super reliable. It is quick, the color is great and it doesn't get jammed up. It works great in small spaces but packs the punch of a normal sized scanner. It holds enough paper to handle almost any job. 5

[Yes] I have owned one of these scanners for a few years. With COVID and working from home and sometimes office, I grew tired of carrying the scanner back and forth. I decided to buy a second one, before it arrived, the first one fell out of my truck onto the pavement, not a huge drop, but far enough. It continued to work as new. This scanner beats an all in one any day, it’s much faster and the software makes it easy to rename and file the scanned documents. 5

[Yes] It isn't just fast, it is great! The built in driver is packed with useful features. I purchased this in part because of the included VRS software, but I rarely use it because the build in driver does much of the functionality (I haven't had to adjust the brightness/contrast at all). I wish that the functionality of the image driver utility was more accessible, as - for example - allowing longer length scans - requires using it, a separate application.... Oh, and if you are scanning and it asks you whether to cancel, and you want to cancel, hit the 'stop' button on the unit! 5

[Yes] I have been using this scanner for more than a year now and have no complaints. I have procured several of them for our clients and they also really like them. With regards to the comment that the output tray is too short, that is incorrect. It's possible that they have not pulled the output tray all the way out as I routinely scan legal documents with no problem. To date I have scanned more than 100,000 pages with no problems whatsoever. 5

[TWAIN, ISIS] This replaced our Scan Snap scanner. One of the best benefit is that when I can it makes it a scannable or searchable PDF. Pretty slick. Highly recommend this scanner. I use a mac for a and use preview mac software to search for files and works great. 5

[LED] I currently own two Canon DR-M160 models purchased for courtroom use and on-the-fly scanning projects in the field. Both units have performed flawlessly. 60 ppm is attainable at 200 dpi (single or double-sided), but is a little slower at 300 dpi -- not a deal-breaker though. I look forward to purchasing the latest model. I would definitely recommend this machine! 5
