A: I have one of the 1/4 20 screws with D ring for fastening. I measured the overall length as 11.94mm and the threaded shaft is 8.25mm long. The head thickness is4mm and the depth of the plate for the head is 7mm. The screw works just fine and no need for tools to get the screw nicely tightened to the camera. The D ring folds down and fits in the plate properly to permit easy fit to the mount.Bob Haas

A: I don't have a specific weight for you, but I regularly use an 8 lb camera setup on the stud at a pretty sharp angle and I have not had any problems. Be careful to not over tighten as the soft brass metal will twist off fairly easily.

A: I have done that with two plates. Works great. Screw easily removed and new one easily installed. Beats the heck out of that flat head screw. Mefoto should have used the D screw to begin with.

Q: 8. Can this be used to mount my Nanlite Forza 500 COB light to my impact heavy duty light stand? The spigot the light stand comes with is too small and flimsy, I'm look for something more robust that will give more stability to this set up. Thanks
