Performance-cores provide the speed to handle high-end games and demanding applications while low-priority and background tasks such as streaming video, playing music, and encoding media are handled by the processor's Efficient-cores.

The Intel Thread Director is built into the CPU's cores, working with the operating system to ensure each of the 32 threads are assigned to the right core at the right time.

This processor supports up to four PCIe 4.0 and sixteen PCIe 5.0 lanes, delivering 20 lanes in total for exceptional data throughput with compatible devices.

Intel Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB) is a technology that unlocks extra CPU performance by pushing the maximum frequency to 6 GHz when thermal headroom and turbo power budget are available. It is ideal for burst workloads that have sudden spikes in CPU utilization, providing a temporary performance boost to help avoid slowdowns.

Intel Adaptive Boost Technology opportunistically increases the all-core turbo frequency beyond previous Turbo Boost clock speeds, even when Thermal Velocity Boost conditions aren't met. Benefits can be seen with multi-threaded programs that scale with multiple cores, which includes many games. It can also help in multitasking situations, such as when gaming, streaming, and chatting all at once through different applications.

Gaussian and Neural Accelerator 3.0 (GNA) technology helps with noise suppression while enhancing background blurring during video chats.

Accelerates AI inference to improve performance for deep learning workloads.

Q: 1. Can this item be installed in an iMac?

A: You'll need an iMac with an LGA1151 socket with support for Coffee Lake and compatible RAM.

Q: 2. Hi! it´s compatible with B660m DDR5 Mortar mother?

A: The Intel Core i9-14900K 3.2 GHz 24-Core LGA 1700 Processor is compatible with DDR5 memory. It will work with motherboards which have a LGA 1700 socket.

Q: 3. So this comes with thermal paste from B&H? Or is the description incorrect? Because in the box I thought you only got the cooler and cpu

A: The thermal paste is already pre-applied on the cooler by Intel.

Q: 4. Is it CPU cooler in the box ? If not, which cooler is suggested for this processor (I do NOT plan overclock it)

A: You can use any cooler that supports the 1700 socket. Currently B&H only carries liquid coolers but air coolers are also compatible.

Q: 5. Can we use for network simulation like gns3 eve-ng

A: Nazeer, The Intel Core i9-10920X Processor is a very good choice for virtual and sim environments. Please insure that you do have an optimal cooling system installed as well as the correct 2066-socket motherboard. If you plan on mastering multivendor type environments and for about $50 more, you can purchase the Intel Core i9-10940X (14-Cores). [Yes] This CPU is a monster performer, but most if not all out of the box configurations on motherboards are pretty horrible for it.

Fast, easy tips: set voltage offset to -0.125v (reduce to -.1, -.085, then -.075 if unstable). LLC Level 4. Disable enhanced turbo. You should be able to run it reliably at 1.31v, 5.68 GHz, and maintain 60-65C while gaming.

[89.6 GB/s] Intel continues to deliver the best. This beast regularly hits 6Ghz clock boosts with a mild overclock. Temps are high but within the range expected. Cooling with a 360mm All In One. Great for games or productivity Testing shows system in top 1% performance via CPUBenchmark. Hitting over 53000 on the CPUBenchmark test. Only challenge has been memory which cannot run at XMPI. My guess is due to me running two different 64GB Ram kits. Single 128MB kit enroot that should fix it.

Overall very satisfied. Can't wait for Arrow Lake but this will hold me over nicely until then.

[32] I'm not a super-duper expert but this CPU has impressed me.

I set the power limits to 253 and undervolted it -.1 and it got 39,650 in Cinebench R23. I was impressed.

I understand if you set the power limit to a buck and a quarter it can still outperform the 14700K run 253 watts. That is impressive. That will be my next test.

I'm using a 280mm AIO that I already owned. I would recommend a 360 or 420 however. P-Core 7 on mine runs hot and was throttling at 253 watts until I got my undervolt beyond .075.

[Yes] Maybe it’ll go up in flames but so far it’s been a great CPU, I’ve only had AMD in the past so it was fun to mix it up. It’s lightning fast for general productivity and it has a really stable 4k gaming frame time compared to my 5800x3d.

[Yes] Faster than a scalded cat and way hotter. I put the biggest available water cooler on it and was still able to reach 100% thermals without overclocking. Still, it benchmarks like a beast.

If you want the fastest processor on the planet, this thing is the cat's meow.
