[Bus Powered ] The Xcellon 4-Port Slim USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub is a perfect companion for my MacBook Pro. My MBP NEVER has enough ports, this small, well-made adapter solves this problem for me. It's permanently hooked up to my computer and goes with me whenever I travel. It's lightweight but well-made. I've had it in my bag (with a ton of other stuff banging into it) for the past few weeks and it doesn't even have a scratch. It's a great little adapter! [0.115 lb] This little hub works just as advertised. Plug it in and the computer sees it right away, giving you 4 USB-C ports. There's no need for downloading drivers, it is truly plug and play. And I love its size, nice and small. You could easily put it in your laptop bag or even a pocket if you needed to do so. It provides fast transfer speeds; specs say up to 5Gb/s which is more than good enough for my needs. And having additional USB-C ports added to my computer is a godsend. My desktop computer only has one USB-C port in the front, so this alleviates the need to keeping swapping things in and out. Or even worse, getting down and crawling behind the computer looking for an empty port. It is such a time saver having these addition USB-C ports from this hub and helps my workflow tremendously. For such an affordable price, it is also well-made. The integrated cable is made of quality materials and feels like it will last. I also prefer having the cable incorporated into the hub. It eliminates the risk of losing the cable or forgetting to pack it along with the hub. It is made of plastic which keeps it very lightweight. But it is a strong and sturdy plastic. The ports also seem well-made. The USB-C cables fit snug and secure. It has a little blue led light that lets you know it is communicating with the computer too, which is very helpful, and I appreciate. If you've had a hub without an LED indicator, you know how annoying that can be. I'm happy with this hub. It is made well and fulfills all my needs for speed and portability. [Bus Powered ] I miss the days of having enough ports on my computer but since dongles like this are a necessity I've had many over recent years. Main use is for a wired mouse and occasionally to patch in a midi music keyboard or pull data from an older hard drive. For some reason all the others have stopped working over time (one even dangerously overheated!). This one has worked flawlessly with daily use for the past six months which is all I could ask for from this simple little device. It's traveled and been out in the elements (even gotten a big soggy from rain once) and no issues. If you need a basic USB hub, this one is the best of the many I've used. 5
