Q: 1. Would this work with a DSLR like the T6s to allow monitoring of an external mic? Or is there another product that I should consider?

A: According to RDE themselves: It can work on a DSLR, but you would need our SC4 adapter as well. The SC4 is sold here on B&H and it's pretty cheap too.

Q: 2. Would this work with Black Magic Pocket?

A: Sorry, I have no idea. I bought one to use with iPhone 5 (on which it works really well).

Q: 3. What is the maximum delay on an output channel? The block diagram shows 21 ms but that seems like a typo.

A: In the manufacturer's specifications for the Ashly Protea 4.8SP - 4 Input, 8 Output Digital Speaker Processor, the user manual lists 1.46ms as the spec for propagation delay and 0 to 682ms as the spec for input and output delay. Q: 4. Does it support touch input when in use?

A: This product is designed for capturing a video stream from an external video source such as a camcorder via HDMI. It does not affect your ability to use touch screen devices.

Q: 5. If you display the histogram on the monitor does that overlay appear on the loop through signal as well?

A: On the Andycine A7- 4K HDMI & 3G-SDI Input/Output 1920x1200 On-Camera Monitor, as with other similar monitors, the HDMI loop through is a bypass signal, carrying over the image from the input. It will not carry over displays from the monitor.

Q: 6. Is the headphone output of the SC6 a mono or stereo signal? Thanks!

A: The headphone output on the SC6 is stereo and uses a 3.5mm TRS connector.

Q: 7. Does it power completely off when the power button is pressed while on battery?

A: If the power button is pressed on the ANDYCINE A7 it will draw power when the light is on. Removing the battery would eliminate this issue. Power does not completely shut down when a battery is attached.

Q: 8. Does it provide plugin power to both lav mics?

A: Hi Steve, yes it does.

Q: 9. Does this result in 32-bit float or integer PCM recordings? Steinberg/Yamaha interfaces result in 32I, causing compatibility problems.

A: This is a floating point device.

Q: 10. Does this work with a battery powered lavelier mic like the Audio Technica ATR3350 ?

A: Sorry I don't know.

Now my projector with VGA input has option to connect to HDMI devices like newer laptops and video players. Doesnt require drivers, works out of the box. 5

Adding this card to Ashly Digimix24 will release the full power of the mixer, allowing you to use all input/output channels in your PC/DAW/iPad. It works flawlessly, and my only minor complaint might be that the latency is not as low as e.g. my RME UCX, but still in the very close to it and in the unnoticeable side of things (about 5-6mS full duplex). This also has to do with the sample rate used (48KHz), while UCX can go up to 192KHz, which reduces latency further. All things considered, I suggest Ashly USB-32 without a second thought! Service of B&H was also awesome, arriving to the other end of the world (New Zealand) in very short time and without issues! 5

This adapter eliminates having to unplug my lapel mic after recording a take to plug in my headphone and check the audio. It DOES NOT allow me to monitor audio DURING the recording (at least on my Samsung phone), but I can now check my audio immediately afterwards while leaving all my connections intact. 5

It works really well if you want to run 3 talkbacks on the same channel, you can control the individual mic’s level. We have a talkback for our key’s, bass & drums player. 5
