- Compatible with 600 and 700 series motherboards.



Cons:


- Very high power consumption;
- Cooling requirements/high temperatures;
- PCIe x8 discrete graphics only when using M.2 Gen 5 slot;
- No support for AVX512.



Notes:


DDR5 memory and overclocking capabilities work better with the Z790 chipset.
I chose the K model with integrated graphics instead of the KF model, having experienced how important it can be for diagnostics if something happens to the main discrete graphics card.

Great CPU

[2S] Coming from a i5-6500 this was a massive upgrade. I run two 1440p monitors and it gets ALL task done no problem with speed. I do recommend undervolting the cpu due to its high thermal temps. With undervolting my CPU hits a max 65c playing CPU intensive games and a max of 82c running CPU benchmarks with a 280mm AIO water cooler. 10/10 would recommend.

[2S] Nothing wrong with the product. It was shipped in a timely manner. I'm upset with B&H on his one.
This one required a signature to receive it -which I'm fine with. After my first door ticket I called FedEx and asked if I could pick it up after the trucks have returned. They told me NO because of the way B&H sent it out.
I said even if I present my driver’s license showing the address and my name? Answer was still NO. FedEx told me I would have to contact B&H and have them change it. By this time I’m peved that I told FedEx that isn’t going to happen, and it can go right back to B&H and I’ll buy from someone else. Needless to say on the 4th try on a Saturday it was delivered to me and I singed for it.
I’ve always gotten good stuff from B&H and I like them, but they
need to have options setup that require signatures, and I as a customer should have to deal with this ridiculous nonsense.

[LGA 4677] Easy to install, easy to use, easy for computer to detect, easy to transfer files from SD card to computer.

[165 W] OK so this is just an awesome chip! Totally worth the upgrade.
