A: Unfortunately, you would not be able to remove the hot shoe mount from the handle.

A: Yes, the SmallRig Cheese-Style Top Handle with Shoe Adapter Mount can but it is meant to attach to a cold shoe on a cage. You WILL damage your R7 if you use this on the hot shoe.

[Topside Handle] I don't understand why handles have to be $75+ when they're just that, handles. Decided to give this a try, admittedly unsure about what to expect. It's great! beefy. The only thing I wish it had was locks for the shoe mounts, however, I don't use those so it's fine. Using it to handle a C70, rigged! with baseplate, rods and motors. 5
