In MF, while still focus-by-wire, the linear focus ring control for mechanical-based follow focus systems moves the focus at a constant speed in accordance with the rotating angle of the focus ring, allowing more precise MF control.

[f/1.8] This is the first lens I put on my Lumix G9. It focuses faster than expected and certainly faster than canon's nifty fifty. It's perfect for portraits and I use it for most of my videos.

[1.375 lb] If you need an affordable, lightweight, bright, and sharp lens, this one is for you! I used this lens more than any other lenses.

[9, Rounded] I have this lens on my s5. I'm no pixel peeper, but I think it would be hard to find something wrong with this lens. I like the weight, length, and feel and that it has the same size filter thread as the 50 and 85mm primes. Can't wait for the 35mm to be available. There is nothing wrong with these prime lenses that I can detect. Fault them if you must for not having OIS, but my Lumix cameras all have great IBIS.

[Full-Frame] I am using the Panasonic Lumix S 50mm f/1.8 Lens along with my Leica M lenses on the Leica SL2s camera and I am very impressed with the quality of the images this lens produces even when used wide open at f1.8! The auto focus is quick and precise and is a great match to the SL2s body in terms of weight and feel. This is an outstanding lens at a very reasonable price and a great entry point for a dedicated lens to use with the Leica SL2 system.

[0.15x] Picked up this gem for $49 when I purchased the Lumix S5 II camera kit deal. Super sharp!

[L-Mount] Since I got the BMPCC 4K, I've been relying on this as my starter prime lens. I've been really enjoying what it's been producing so far. I've found it works well in most situations but good lighting is needed to get the best results from videos and photos with this lens. It also works well with the autofocus on the camera, although sometimes it seems to be a little off but easily fixed with a slight manual adjustment.

[67 mm (Front)] Amazing lens. Sharp across the entire frame, very fast, and fits in perfectly with the rest of the Panasonic f1.8 set. They have truly done something special with this lens series and can't wait to try it on their new S5 II camera (and any future S series iterations).

[67 mm (Front)] I am using the Lumix S 50mm on a Lumix S IIx, and it is sharp with good color rendition. The small size and weight is a major benefit, and the fact that its dimensions carry through the entire series makes switching lenses on my gimbal a breeze, as it does not require rebalancing.

[0.15x] I've preordered the 35mm to complete my S prime assortment (24, 35, 50, and 85mm). These lenses are light, fast, and structurally sound. No complaints, although the 24mm has been the most expensive of the 4 lenses.
